Thanks for a wonderful reaction. This had me on the edge of my seat. Nice to see Rose Ayling-Ellis in it, who I really admired as the character of Frankie in Eastenders and what a great sequel this was! I guessed the Planet was Midnight as soon as they mentioned Diamonds & didn't have to wait long for the confirmation. It was screaming familiarity to me up until that point but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. As to what single episode I'd like to see a return to exploring, from Classic Who I'd love to see the Fendahl return - whether that's possible or not, who knows?! I almost said that I'd like to see a third part to a couple of stories we got in Classic Who, but I think Jess might be cross with me if I mention it! For New Who, a return to The Satan Pit for sure!

Re: when did I clock that we were on Midnight? Well, it was quite early for me - but I don't claim massive credit for it, it was just luck. I had very recently decided to rewatch a reaction to the "Doctor Who Confidential" episode for "Midnight". So when they mentioned "galvanic radiation" in this episode I recognised the term and my thought was "Oh, how nice! The authors are giving us fans a callback to that story". Of course UNIT had that "galvanic beam" cannon that the Toymaker used in "The Giggle" which was a similar casual reference - I love it that Who can, and does, refer to its story history. But very quickly in this episode e.g. with the wide landscape shots and some other bits of dialog, having been primed to recall the "Midnight" episode - things started clicking into place. So as the Doctor was starting to come to his realization about where they were - by pure luck I was already ahead of him.
