Sam and Dean are in a pickle; that’s for goddamn sure. Yeah, that was a fucking episode. A very well-done episode to be sure. The boys, I feel, have been in tighter situations, and even then, this one is tricky. Evidence of this is Crowley bows out whilst quoting Mr. T., which is so odd to hear Crowley to say, love your reaction there. We both were fairly done with the secret service guy. You said he annoyed you when he spoke, my own comment past a point was, “Seriously, what is your major malfunction, numbnuts?”, and later, when he expresses how he’s clearly got several screws loose in his efforts to get the boys, the comment is, “Dramatic much? Tone it down there, Brian Dennehy, it’s creeping a bit.” Likewise, the older gentleman was great. I too kind of lived for the older gentleman. He had a great energy to him. Loved your jokes about the solitude being good for the boys. Does allow the opportunity to enjoy some peace and quiet. I’d add that truth be told, I could use some sleep, so that part sounds a plus. First couple nights of that would be nice. Eventually, the confinement would get to you, you and I have the shared fear in that one. Not so much claustrophobia in my case, but yeah, the lack of freedom/confinement does get to you something fierce. Still behind on seeing Prison Break. And references to breaking out of prison, my brain goes to older shows and films. In this case, I thought they could use help from Burt Lancaster. Then again, that film didn’t end well, so that’s a bad comparison, skip that one. We both clocked at least some type of outside interference that allowed the boys to play mostly dead. The first thought is Billie as that made the most sense, more on her in a minute. Good narrative balance of the soldiers after the boys are genuinely quite good, so it’s not ludicrously one sided. Dean made the one reference, making me say, “Bravo, Strother Martin.” They handled shit well. You do feel bad for Castiel, especially when he’s unprepared for the mom anger from Mary. Love your words for him when he’s down in the dumps. You speak well how he is part of the family. Feel bad for Mary beating herself up as she does. Shared thing of being very wary of the British men of letters what with their dealing in absolutes, shown here by killing the survivors. Meaning the one older gentleman is not recurring, damn shame. Bringing us to Billie. She was rather unnervingly looking forward to claiming a Winchester. It’s been something to see that’s rubbed me the wrong way with Billie. For a reaper, she shows far too much personal animosity to the boys, some of which DOES make sense, and even then, she lets her feelings influence her actions far too much. She should know that in the reaper world, nothing is personal, it’s just good business. It gets you when Mary is prepared to lay down her life for her boys, then Castiel kills Billie, which, oh, OF COURSE, NOTHING bad will come of that. Jesus, Jess, you really got me with your reaction to Castiel’s big speech. You summed that scene up perfectly. By the way, you mentioned the comments on the season eleven finale reaction. Very lovely to hear that you appreciated the kind words, and that everyone was so very kind to you, as you deserve all of it so much. Thank you for the fun reaction, Jess.
