Happy Birthday Jess! As I see Thomas already wrote it was a good episode for your birthday but not a happy one. It was a great reaction for us on your birthday. I loved seeing your excitement over the return of K’Ehleyr and felt bad about what I knew was to come later in the episode after seeing that excitement. I was hoping you would be on board for Worf's actions after her death and you did not disappoint. Start to finish a reaction that was worth having the calendar circled for. I hope the rest of your birthday is lovely.

Wishing you a very happy birthday, Jess! I hope it's been a good one so far, minus K'Ehleyr getting murdered by Duras of course. It's a shame we didn't get a more light-hearted episode for your birthday TNG reaction but as you said earlier, episode 7 was set in stone for today. Interestingly enough, the writers admitted it was a mistake to kill off K'Ehleyr after only 2 appearances on the show. She was a strong character with a lot of potential and she had great chemistry with Worf. It's poetic that Worf's refusal to acknowledge K'Ehleyr and Alexander to protect their honour is what undoes Duras. All because of the dishonour that Duras forced on Worf. Helena and Sergey get a brief mention, but it's a shame that we don't get to see them on screen picking up Alexander, ready to take him back to Gault. I remember how fond you were of Worf's parents in the episode Family, so I can only imagine what your reaction seeing them again would have been like. Every time it's a Worf episode, you just know it's going to be a banger at this point. “I am your father.” I love it when Worf turns into Vader for a second towards the end of this episode. It's May the 4th tomorrow too so great timing to bring that reference up. Well, we're seven for seven now. Season 4 is packing a punch so far and I'm predicting eight for eight next week too. Yeah, I feel like I’m being slightly mean in pointing out that Jess only explicitly asked for a good episode, and she never clarified if she wanted a happy one. You knew that Jess would be upset to lose K’Ehleyr after she had the really strong positive response to her initially. You definitely knew that she’d be on board with Worf having his revenge. This was a very strong one for Jess’s birthday. Shared hope that the rest of the day, that she has a lovely time.

Seeing Helena and Sergey again would have been one hell of a pick me up and birthday treat for Jess. Yeah, fortuitously good timing having the Darth Vader of it all with Star Wars day being tomorrow. Seven for seven. Season four is a damn good one.
