Interesting thing of it, jumping back into this show after a small break, starting with the Tarantino episode. Something you pointed out, citing Pulp Fiction. Reservoir Dogs is perhaps the more apt comparison, but yes. Starts out light enough with Dean trying to hook Castiel up with a date. Castiel does NOT need Dean as a wingman. NOBODY needs Dean as a wingman. Gets serious fast. Shame about Wally. Perfect moment when you and Mary had the shared reaction to Ramiel having the yellow eyes. You making notes on the other princes of Hell, that’s probably a good idea. Loved your responses to the lawyer friendly Ennio Morricone. Interesting to learn that Crowley was more or less just handed the crown. Castiel surely did stress you out. Obviously, he wasn’t going to die, and I love how you loved that Dean was in denial, even so, your stress was strong. It is a strong moment of the reaction when you kept asking Castiel to stop it with his big dramatic words. Our heroes put up a damn good fight with Sam getting the good final blow. And Crowley came through with healing Castiel. Crowley then snarking, “You’re welcome.” followed by the lance drop and him vamoosing was great. Now to the Mary of it all. Love how we do have the responses of, “Oh, Sam. Oh, Dean. Oh, Cas. Oh, Don. Oh, Mary. Oh, Dennis.” Yes, there is some great disappointment in Mary engaging in the Winchester way of lying/keeping secrets. You observe how on some level it makes sense that she’s partnered with the Hobbits, er, uh, the British Men of Letters. The gear they have, the track record being reasonably smooth, it makes sense. Of course, the formal introduction to this group was Toni shooting, torturing, and essentially raping Sam, so, you know, that’s a red flag that’s being overlooked at the moment. Another red flag is Ketch’s bullshit of bad intel. It’s quite something to see. For such overwhelming arrogance and overconfidence, the British Men of Letters have very impressive gaps in their network of information. And I LIVED for your reaction to the colt. Not sure exactly when it was established that the colt had that Kiss Me Deadly glow to it, though you include it here to fit the homage. Oh, I loved your words on Mary in this one, and just, this was a great reaction, Jess, thanks.
