I’ve never seen any of this show until you began reacting to it. Well, I had sort of caught episodes here and there as it was on the tvs at the bar once or twice. I had not actively seen any of the show until the reactions began. The result being that I don’t entirely know with certainty where this is going, to address how you mention that in the reaction. A few comments at work, plus a few recurring memes on the internet tell me I know a few things, when they happen, that I don’t know. Combine this with I imagine you’re further ahead than I am, you might have the leg up on me by now. Yeah, we do have the uncomfortable conversation being brought out into the open. Love how you just took it all in. You were nicer to Dean when he pulled the Mary card as you put it. He said that one, and I said, “Ok, Dean, that’s uncalled for.” Should have figured that you’d liken Dean’s saying that Sam should pick a side to the hardcore Dean fans and/or Sam fans in the comments section. I would have been tempted to smack Dean for that one if I were Sam. Was unaware of the Battlestar of it all, but I’ve not yet seen that show. Ketch is starting to get on one’s nerves, particularly the rather casual sexism at the one part. His whole sales pitch, Mick’s too, irks. You want to say, “Oh, how cliché, Mister Ketch. I think somebody’s been watching too many James Bond pictures.” Smart of Ketch to entice Dean with the scotch. Regarding the scotch, I’d call Crowley up first so as to get his assessment of how good it is. Ketch revealing that he and Toni used to date. I don’t know who I feel sorrier for with that one, him or her. Or it just sounds an equally miserable situation for both parties. Love how Dean steps in when Ketch was just viciously beating the one lady. Share Sam’s silent frustration when Mick revealed that they had no contingency plans for if anything like what happened in the episode happened. Good thing he and Mary were on the ball. Once again, we get a good Bobby mention, and the emotion on your face at that is most beautiful. Speaking of Bobby, yes, he probably would have had the response of “Fuck these goddamn idjits.” The BSG bias backfiring was both amusing, though I kept apologizing about that. Loved your excitement seeing the Alpha Vampire again. You say that you know that you should not be enjoying the villainy. I’m not complaining that you do. You know me and my love of villains. It’s honestly very nice when we have similar or shared responses to the villains. The flip side is that it is great to see our heroes get the damn fine victory like how Sam got here. Love how he clocked that the colt could kill the Alpha as the Alpha would not have hesitated. He played Mick beautifully by basically saying “Please, by all means.” in regard to the Alpha killing Mick, and Mick does what Sam knew he would, and it leads to the Alpha’s death. Love how the Alpha’s not even mad and is impressed before his death. Dean does have the sweet moment of tense though things are between mother and son, Mary is still his mom. Curious how Mick and Ketch have their little pissing contest going. Sam saying ok to joining the group, shared thing of not being sure how to feel about it, particularly as it felt rushed. Both boys are stubborn sorts so that will be interesting seeing how Sam’s going to talk to Dean about it. You do get Mary’s reasoning of eliminating all the monsters in the world so that her boys can have the normal lives. A rather fruitless goal, given how there always seems to be monsters in the world, but the goal is admirable. See how it goes from here. Fun reaction, Jess, thank you.
