As I've stated on my community post, I'm dealing with a bit of an emergency at the moment and of course the BBC is being a pain with this edit. I will re-upload whenever I have a moment today but it might be later than usual.

"Nothing's just rubbish if you have an enquiring mind.", The Doctor, "Paradise Towers" This has to be one of the most over-the-top stories ever! It's not rubbish - there's fun stuff here. It's played a bit over-the-top at times ... way, way over-the-top-of-Everest at times. "Why did I have to jettison the pool from the TARDIS?", "Well, it was leaking.", The Doctor and Mel, "Paradise Towers" I guess the Doctor installed a new one sometime before he met Amelia in her garden. "You we like, Doctor. What you wear is high fabsion and ice hot, for an old one.", Fire Escape, "Paradise Towers" I like the Kang's names: "Bin Liner" and "Fire Escape". And I like the odd dialect the tower-dwellers use. Excuse me, may I tell my favourite dialects pun? - see the first reply. The actress who plays "Fire Escape" was married to Mark Strickson ("Turlough"). Also, one of the Red Kang extras in this story was played by Nisha Nayar who we later saw as the female programmer in "Bad Wolf"/"The Parting of the Ways" making her one of the earliest Classic/New Who returning actors. The original musical score for this show was rejected by JNT so Keff McCulloch provided a replacement score. The original score is available in the DVD and I've always been meaning to go back and watch it with that track. I would have listened to it this watch, but because of the way the sesskasays reaction audio is recorded, I'll do it some other time. "I said, would you like a cup of tea and some cakes?", Tabby, "Paradise Towers" If someone offers you tea and cakes, just say "No"! "This is the Great Architect returned to Paradise Towers. Bid him welcome. All Hail the Great Architect, all hail.", Chief Caretaker, "Paradise Towers" Hey, it's Richard Briers playing the Chief Caretaker! We remember him dying in bed in the Torchwood story "A Day in the Death". Richard is most famous for "The Good Life" sitcom but he had a long acting career - he played King Lear on stage and played Polonius in Branagh's 4-hour epic "Hamlet (1996)" movie. BTW: he was married to Ann Davies who played Barbara's lorry-driving friend, Jenny, in "The Dalek Invasion of Earth". "Yes, we can count that as your last request. You're entitled to one if you're to undergo a 327 Appendix 3 Subsection 9 death. Not a pretty way to go.", Deputy Chief Caretaker, "Paradise Towers" The Deputy Chief Caretaker is played by Clive Merrison. We've seen him before in "The Tomb of the Cybermen". I know him best playing Sherlock Holmes in the BBC Radio dramatisations from the 1980s and '90s. "Build high for happiness.", Bin Liner, "Paradise Towers"

My favorite "dialects" pun - it works better if you sound it out loud. "The Uxbridge English Dictionary" - "I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue" - 2012-12-17 The English language has many words which appear to mean the same thing but in fact provide subtle variations in meaning. For example, many people don't know the difference between accents and dialects. Accents are ways of pronouncing words that indicate the place of origin or social background of the speaker. While dialects are the baddies in Doctor Who.

Paradise Towers is absolutely hilarious. It does that thing of being very silly and comedic but underneath all that is quite a sharp political and social commentary. Unfortunately, a lot of people can't see past the silliness and dismiss this story, which is unfair imo. This isn't a great story, but it does pave the way for the general direction for the rest of this era. It'll become a lot more refined and self assured come next season though, that's for sure.

The color of your outfit and the couch are quite complimentary. Shared experience of never having done hard drugs that would make you hallucinate. Shudder to think what I would see if I did, though it is amusing, Jess, to hear you say that this story would be what you would see. This story is well-suited to your style of reacting, yes. Good to see you having a good time with this story. My brain struggles to process each group, though we do like how they are these separate groups, and we dive into each one. The two Aunts Abby and Martha old ladies had some sort of Hansel and Gretel scheme, which is unsettling. They were determined to get their hands on Mel, and they do suceed with the knitted blanket net thingamajig. This other group of gals sound like they’re involved in some Wicker Man style shit, or at least it gives culty vibes. They talked about this war where the young boys are made to fight, giving you Two Towers flashbacks. Yes, I recall your words over that part of Two Towers when you reacted to that. Monty Python lite was curious. We both had a reaction to the Chief Caretaker using the term “Daddy” and I got a huge laugh over you asking him to please stop saying that. It is a choice, as you say, much though it pulls you out of things at spots, such as you keep expecting this monster to say, “Feed me, Seymour!” once or twice. And fun though it all is, I get how you say that you are wanting to see more of Seven. Good point on you are prepared for how much time with him you have. Still really liking that you like Seven thus far. And how you find him a good response to Six, whom you also liked, rough start with the strangling business notwithstanding. All in all, just delightful to see your delight in watching this story, Jess. Thanks for the fun and silly reaction, and I look forward to the conclusion.
