Yeah, I get what you mean of this one being a simpler episode, with not much to it, plotline-wise. Says something when it involves an actual god, and it feels like an average Tuesday. Loved how you clocked the dude in the goat mask right away. And the episode tried to make you think otherwise, and it led to the confusion. Turns out you were right of course. They have the bits of intended humor with Dean hitting on the waitress, and Sam being me with being so done with it. And the morning after Dean just swiping Sam’s breakfast. You had a calmer reaction to Dean swiping Sam’s breakfast than I anticipated. I shared Sam’s frustration on that one, and when Dean complained about no pancakes, I said, “You want to order and pay for your own goddamn breakfast, you’re more than welcome to it.” Bad guy was very one note, as you said. Found the sheriff more interesting. Particularly how when the boys got the drop on him, he freely fessed up, and later aids Sam in tracking down Dean and fighting the bad guys. Dean had a good fight against the god. Sam, likewise, had the good shots killing the bad guy and the god alike, and again, props to the sheriff for being willing to face the music. The other half is the Brits bugging the bunker and searching the place. Get a laugh over Ketch being momentarily distracted by Dean’s porn stash. I also talked back when he talked about Sam’s hair, saying, “...“Shiny”?” and with Dean’s flannels, saying, “...“Ratty”?” Yeah, I’m feeling the blood boiling with him taking the picture of Mary, that’s a sick thing to do. The boys also handled it better than I would have when he told them he’d rather be spending time with their mom. I would think the boys would ask Ketch why he has Mick’s phone. That last bit with talking about legacy was very sweet. We share the “Aww” to Sam acknowledging that eventually he and Dean will be lost in time, like tears in rain, and he’s fine with that as they saved people, and left the world better than they found it. And they have the carving moment. Like how you noted the s being tricky. My last name starting with a c, I share the thought. The d for Dean would likewise look a little jagged. So, a nice episode that on youtube will be the pause before the break in August. I’m sure the youtube viewers will be as supportive as those of us on patreon will be.
