Really could have done without the whole Leah Brahms - Geordi stuff. It didn't do a ton for the character at all. Though, with that sort of technology, it's not an implausible occurrence and we've already seen Riker fall for a holodeck generated vision and that had some definitely creepy dialogue as well.

Just wanted to comment on the beautiful blue jewelry pieces you were wearing. And also to say, I'm so sorry they didn't give Geordi a better episode. Like, even if Geordi had fully acknowledged how inappropriate he was and apologized for what he did it would have been better. I would like to think Geordi would have been more apologetic, in my head canon about him.

I know I’m way behind and normally I don’t write on old ones because they probably never get read. But just in case you do, I just wanted to say I’m so sorry there is actual stalking going on in your life. I’m not surprised because I know the internet can be a cesspool, but I just never think of it. Of course it’s going to add to your reaction and I have to say your assessment is straight on as far as I’m concerned. From a writing standpoint, I agree the end was weak. I’m a person who thinks people get way too offended these days especially when it comes to fiction. Examining flawed people’s motives are part of the enjoyment of the work, if it’s written well. But this one definitely has issues. The reactions of Geordi and Leah seem off, like they had to cut scenes out. It’s almost like they added the baby subplot in as an afterthought. Perhaps they meant us to believe that last scene came after other discussions about what happened but that would have been extremely lazy and just plain bad writing. The bright spot was Patrick Stewart’s acting when he realised they had killed the creature.
