Thank you as always for a very heartfelt reaction to this series finale episode & for your excellent summary at the end. I know you weren't in the best of spirits going into this & hope you're ok. The Doctor & the fanbase will always be with you come what may. Whenever I see either a Silurian or 'Sea Devil' story, part of me always hopes a peaceful settlement can be found because it's the one thing The Doctor has always felt very strongly about. However, dealing with the nature of Politics & humanities pre-deliction for f*****g things up, I guess it's not realistic & that's kind of what we got here! While I've had some criticisms of this series (such as I felt the 'negotiations' were more indicative of shotgun diplomacy), I have, on the whole, hugely enjoyed this 5 parter. I became very invested in Barclay and his development, both emotional and physical throughout. The actor did a fantastic job. As did the actor who plays Kate. I certainly gelled with your point at the end Jess, as to whether Kate's obvious breakdown will be further explored going forward, I think a really good story or two could come from that. I kind of wish UNIT could get it's own spin off series & have wanted that for a long time, but I guess they'd have to make it significantly different so as it's not virtually another version of Torchwood. With the future of Dr Who once again facing uncertainty, I don't know what you may have in store Dr Who wise, going forward, but I'm sure whatever it is, it will be ACE! See you next time!

Like you I hope they deal with the consequences of this for Kate. And there's precedent for it. Two words: Mike Yates.
