This was a tough choice between the last scene of this week’s Stranger Things and the first scene of this week’s Walking Dead. Absolutely gut-wrenching that I had to choose. Weirdly they were very similar. they were horrific scenes that were calling back to a time someone was gaining confidence to face their demons. So basically Will Byers and King Ezekiel are the same person….right? I think so.

For me, I’m going to give it up to Stranger Things because they were able to pull off something so very terrifying. They were able to create something so visually stunning that I couldn’t look away. The way this show is taking what could be considered monsters that get conjured up in child’s imagination and make them real is so incredible. Now do I have nightmares about giant Demogorgon’s in the sky at night when I’m trying to sleep? No. But the entire scene is so unsettling, it makes you heart race.

I already knew brining that dumb “pollywog” would be so triggering to Will. Of course he had to be the one to find it. I’m not entirely sure how Will gets triggered to see these visions and/or alternate reality but I’m just saying that probably didn’t help.

This scene was so unbelievable in so many ways. Will was standing up to his demons….it was such a triumphant moment. He took Bob’s advice (round of applause for Bob doing what he can to help with Will’s PTSD) and it all went horribly wrong. Noah Schnapp is beyond perfection in this scene and many other moments. His acting has been a pleasant surprise for Season Two seeing as he just wasn’t shown as much in Season One. My heart literally breaks for him and I’m very worried for what’s to come.

Stranger Things is blowing me away with every single episode and I hope you are all excited to watch along with me as I go through the rest of this season.
