Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them Reaction!!!! - Google Drive

Yeah, it's pretty rare for something to get blocked on google drive for just sound but it has happened a couple of times with Harry Potter in the past.

Hi sorry this comment is two years late, but I only saw the file for Part 2? Whatever other parts there were appear to have disappeared. Is there any way to re-upload them?

Anonymous

Did you re-upload them to a new folder or the same one? This folder still has only Part 2 in it, unless my computer is just not showing things.

Exciting...I've been looking forward to this.

Woo! Can't wait to get into this :D

This is the third time i've watched Fantastic Beasts and it has grown on me quite a bit. I was really kind of meh about it on first viewing. I still think Newt Scamander is a bit boring as a character. I know he's supposed to be better with creatures than humans, but they made him a bit too awkward and socially inept for my taste. Not sure if it's because of the writing or the acting. Other than that, lots to enjoy. Before seeing the film the first time i thought Jacob would be my least favourite character, but Jacob and Queenie are great. The best part for me tho are all the subtle hints and callbacks to a tragic story known by the book readers, but mostly not by those who only watched the films. I am of course talking about "The Greater Good". So my question is: who feels up to the task of explaining the connection between obscuri, Grindelwald (was hoping, but not expecting, Jess to notice the symbol), Newt Scamander and the last book of the Harry Potter series? Because i'm not atm. JoJo? lol Super fun reaction tho. That was indeed Ron Pearlman, and Ron Pearlman as a mobster goblin is sublime casting. I love your sympathy for Credence. J.K. Rowling has put some rather tragic people in her writing, and Credence history is right up there among the most heartbreaking. Personally, i don't think we've seen the last of him.

This was a real treat, I absolutely love that movie. Like you said, the four main characters are lovely. Newt in particular really reminds me of The Eleventh Doctor, with his quirkiness and kindness, he's definitely my favourite character here, and even one of my favourites from the Harry Potter universe. Jacob and Queenie were so adorable together, I can't wait to see more of them (LOVE that end scene where he recognises her!), and then Tina was the serious character of the group, which is always needed, loved her too. I am SO looking forward to the sequels to this film, I'm sure they'll be just as good, if not better. I know Harry Potter ended last month but I just wanted to thank you yet again for an entire year of fun, these videos really were incentive to get me through tough times, and looking forward to them all has been an absolute blast. I've never seen the 'Dark Night' series, but I'm actually considering watching them just to continue joining in with your movie reactions, they're too much fun! Loved this, and I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to the rest of Doctor Who December, thank you so much for all the hard work you do for us! We really truly appreciate it :)

That's funny you said that about it being meh your first time around cuz that same thing happened to me..and I've seen it now about 3 times as wel. I gotta say though each time it gets better and better and I feel it has a really nice balance of themes and just a really well done movie. It has that quirky, cute and fun adventure aspect through out it but it also has a really serious and dark side to it too with Credence and his moms dynamic during it.

I loved Queenie and Jacob so much! I think I liked the slightly more adult tone and I thought the characters were just amazing. And yes Ron Perlman was classic. Great casting choice.

sesskasays

Aw it means so much that you might watch those movies just to watch along with me! Thats so sweet! Yeah I def liked this movie a lot even though I guess the beginning was a lot of set up. But for someone who doesn't read the books/know the universe/etc. I appreciate it.

Jeff Clark

So I discovered something frustrating watching this = I recorded the film on Sky Movies in anticipation of this reaction, and playing it simultaneously alongside each other i've found out that Sky either remove frames from the film or speed up the movie ever so slightly. The movie kept getting ahead of your version and de-syncing. Gonna have to try something else before continuing to watch D:

Opti_Frog

I have that problem with every single full reaction from Jess. It might be a PAL / NTSC thing, i dunno. I just double-tap the spacebar to stop and start the video when it get's too much out of sync. ^^

Jeff Clark

I never had this with her Doctor Who reactions, it's weird. I already bought the Harry Potter boxset exclusively for Jess' reactions, may as well get Fantastic Beasts for it as well XD

Dave Ford

This happens with the HP stuff - but I may not have been watching PAL versions - given the multiple codecs and buffering and whatever conversion youtube and/or google do to the files, I'm surprised the sync is as good as it is normally. I usually see the local video getting ahead of Jess's videos by a fraction of a second every 5 mins or so. It's not a deal breaker for me.

Mark McKeown

Yeah it's down to frame rates. Any full reactions I plan to watch I put them in to Adobe Premiere and create my own picture in picture, however due to differences in frame rates (Jess' recording is 29.97fps and the movie is 23.976fps) over time it drops out of sync. I've managed to find a way to fix this in Premiere where I only have to stretch the clip by a minuscule amount so they line up right to the end, however before this it was an absolute nightmare and I feel your pain re-adjusting every few minutes! As for Doctor Who lining up, that's because she watches my copies, which are the UK versions, although regardless as it's a UK tv show, they are all 25fps, so as long as your material matches her's, it syncs up nicely.

Jeff Clark

Thanks for the reply Mark, glad to hear i'm not going crazy! I never got it with Harry Potter like Dave said he did, which is weird unless she had UK versions for some reason.

Stephen Ray

With the Harry Potter reactions, I didn't find it that much of an issue. For Fantastic Beasts, though, Newt was pretty soft-spoken, quiet and mumbly to begin with. That made it a lot harder to hear the audio when they got even slightly out of sync. It would be a harder way to watch the movie for the first time. Still, I didn't find it too much of a problem.

Stephen Ray

Thank you for doing this. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I certainly enjoyed you enjoying it.

Mark McKeown

Weirdly Jeff I didn't get it on HP movies 1 or 2, but did everything after... Jess would certainly be using the US/NTSC version though.

for some reason i can't access the full reaction it only gives me part 2 and ive noticed this problem with the other harry potter movies. The link for Order of the Phoenix doesn't give any part of the reaction
