Sorry for the lack of new Unorthodox Farming chapters this past month, despite saying that I would get them to you. I've got the next two drafted and need to edit them, and I'm starting work on the next three I have planned out today. I'll be posting a chapter on Tuesday and Thursday from now on if I have them. I'm trying to build a schedule.

Below is my monthly update that I put on Facebook, which explains more.

It's the 3rd of the month, so time for my 1st of the month update! Sorry for the delay, I was travelling back from Australia and didn't take my laptop. I had a friend's wedding and was visiting RinoZ.

I threatened to name names over this if it became a problem for me, but I'm not going to. Anyway, a lovely fan on Twitter introduced me to Chinese Cultivation Anime (donghua) near the start of last month. Specifically, the series Renegade Immortal. I didn't know this stuff existed until I was told about it, or that there was so much of it.

So far, I've watched, loved, and am up to date on:

Renegade Immortal: 200+ episodes

Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality: 200 episodes

Swallowed Star: 200 episodes

I also watched between 40 and 100 episodes of about 10 other shows. I got a grand total of 2 chapters of farmer drafted, but I feel like I've done enough research for now (binge watching).

I lack self-control, but finding new anime isn't the reason I was so unproductive.

My aunt passed away near the beginning of the month (we knew it was coming, but didn't realise it was going to be so soon), so after that, I was not in the mood to write. I also got the flu from the funeral, which caused me not to eat healthy or drink enough wate,r which triggered my gout, so I lost about two weeks of writing between those two illnesses. The anime just gave me something to do while I was unwell. The gout was so bad that I had to fly out for my friend's wedding the day before, instead of four days before like I originally planned. (If you have gout, you'll understand.)

Anyway, my schedule is finally free again, and I'm looking forward to binge writing Farmer. I changed how the book started earlier in the year, and all the plans I had for the book didn't mesh as well as I thought they would. I've been working out how to fix that this past month, and I'm ready to hit the ground running.

Feel free to give me crap about how unproductive I've been. I need a good kick to get me super productive this month.

I'm so sorry for your loss and also your subsequent illness. We would never rush you, we know The chapters will be ready when they're ready. I will say that RinoZ had a short hiatus as well but left us on a huge cliffhanger before a massive battle for few weeks lol. He's been posting regularly again and the chapters have been amazing so he really hit the ground running. I imagine the chapters you're working on are going to be just as awesome as usual. P.S. I mentioned in a comment a while back that I usually don't like cultivation stories but The Magistrate has certainly kept me coming back. Great Work as always and thank you for all your hard work.

Ben, we know you are allergic to book 3s. It must be in your blood. Hope things take a turn for the MUCH better soon, man.

Thanks, mate. You gave me a way to wind up RinoZ. He didn't mention he had a gap. He was like I'm super consistent.
