The rain was very entertaining to draw; I love drawing new things and new effects! And then it became very annoying haha.

What can I say... I think it’s clear that their relationship has evolved compared to the first chapter, now. It took some time, but here we are. And it's just the beginning of it!

Last time, someone mentioned "cat burglar," and I thought it was so cute that I integrated it haha! Tera must think that the contrasting image of a cute little cat breaking in to commit a crime is terribly adorable. Probably hits a soft spot.

Jo almost breaks the fourth wall with that Titanic wardrobe door reference!
 There are quite a few little things that are there to highlight a before/after. The Boy ends up on Tera’s back like in the first chapter, except this time it’s of his own free will. He welcomes him into his home with trust, you could almost say he’s happy that Tera suggested it.

Honestly, I can’t wait for the next pages, I know you’re going to like them and that’s why I’m so excited to read your comments on the next update! I hope I won't mess up!


Random note: I came across chapters 9 and 10 where Tera has his helmet and tight black t-shirt... he' was so hot!!! Do you want me to bring Tera back with his helmet??

Thank you!! 🗣🗣🗣 And, i must say that their relationship is developing pretty fast but it doesn't feel forced either. Sometimes authors like to force the relationship between their characters so that they can get to the end sooner which always feels bitter sweet in the sense that we, readers, get our fluffy scenes between our fav characters and bitter bc it feels rushed. Way too rushed. HOWEVER the development of Tera and Boy's relationship feels just right. And Joris' presence doesn't feel like a nuisance either, he's not there to be a wall between the two but rather a rope that always seems to pull the two together. Something that i haven't seen much in any other comics I've read until now although there were attempts sometimes, it always ended up feeling annoying so you pulling this off so well is 🤌🤌🤌 With that said, these pages are so cute 🤭🤭 the way of how Boy refers to Tera by his name in the previous update and now by "big boy" and isn't as much against Tera's help as before is>>>>>> I'm already daydreaming abt the next update 🫠

As much as I would love to see Helmet Tera back, I also think it would be incredibly entertaining to see Tera pop up with increasingly unpredictable masks or headgear just to avoid the face reveal haha. Thank you for your hard work, this update was everything! ♥️

The Titanic reference had me cackle big time lol Omg this update was E V E R Y T H I N G. The fact that we can actually feel Tera's every expression despite the mask covering him up-when he said "yeah, I like it" we could see his little smirk from miles away. Also, the moment the Boy jumps on Tera's back and we have the "there you go" phrase. Maybe it could be just me, but I do kind of see a parallel with the motorbike scene-where the exact same phrase was used when the boy hopped on the bike-and seeing how their relationship developed from there to this exact moment has been the most exquisite journey. Again, I could be reading too much into it, but alas. With that being said,thank you so much for always sharing your work and story with all of us. It literally melts my little heart every single time. And can't wait what's in store for the next update!

This was so fun! They are just the absolute cutest and I adore the way their relationship has evolved to get here. Tera seems like the first person the boy has opened up to that has actually accepted the boy, despite Tera knowing Black Death had something to do with his past. We can see that Tera really cares :)

Their relationship feels so authentic I love it and them so I’m terrified if/when the Boy finds out about Black Death’s role in his family’s death😭

The pace you set is just on-point... and rain just as much as the jacket were a good choice (fanservice at its finest!), thank you! This update doesn't just look good - it also "feels" good. THE FEELS We never know what it's going to be with you! I love the diversity in mood, and the details of all the little gestures. Also it's getting really hard not to notice the crush of the Boy on the Wolf, makes me curious how the Wolf will behave. You said there will be no 'classic romance' in this comic (kissing, nsfw, official dating), so I'm really curious to see the Wolf's behaviour, because he will obviously notice the crush, probably does already. If he doesn't shut the Boy down but also doesn't openly respond to it, does that mean the Boy will be basically stuck with an unrequited love (from his POV)?

I feel I may have a perspective that could be useful. I don’t know if anyone else here is on the asexual spectrum, but I am and it greatly influences the way I see the story. I perceive their relationship as deeply romantic, on both sides, regardless of any sexual attraction in either. Which is why I have no preference to them ever having such physical contact. They could spend the whole story never sharing so much as a kiss and I would still see them as being in love. For me I use the terms biromantic and demisexual. I experience romantic attraction to people of multiple genders, but I have only ever felt sexual attraction a couple times in my life to people of any gender. Others may identify as biromantic and asexual, never experiencing sexual attraction at all. Some may be both aromatic and asexual, not experiencing either form of attraction and everything in between. From this perspective is why I see the Boy and Tera the way I do. I don’t expect any unrequited love because of this. I see Tera as having had a crush first, and the Boy catching up later with both meeting one another in that love as their relationship develops.

Hey, loved your reply! Let me clarify: I totally agree on the fact that they can be in love without having any form of sexual/physical attraction or gestures. Actually, we already know this is going to be exactly that kind of story, Z-pico said it very clearly in their FAQ, multiple time. There is no question this is a romance story, the love will not be unrequited. I would say it's actually why this story is so appealing to me. We are not ramping to the kiss, but to the expression of their affection through something very different. What I meant is: as Tera is clearly feeling guilty over the involvement of Black Death in the Boy's family fate, he probably will feel very conflicted about responding positively to the Boy's affection in any way. So the Boy might see it as a rejection, because he's younger and a lot more naive, he's developing a more stereotypical crush on Tera. For the same reason, I challenge the idea that Tera already has a crush on the Boy; I think in his case (for now) he experiences guilt, affection and interest or obsession, but not necessarily a crush like the Boy does. So how they will both navigate this connection is what I am interested in. PS: the Ace/aro community is in dire need of representation, so loving that POV from you. I consider myself somewhere on the demisexual spec too, so I feel you...

I never know if people will know what the terms mean as I have had to explain myself frequently…I hadn’t known where you were coming from and that was a lovely surprise. Anyway, I am eagerly waiting to see how they interact together too. It is certainly a complicated relationship. The ties of the past bringing in such huge additional issues will be quite the mess, however things go.

So I already reread this update three times but omg those pages are so beautiful! Like the rain, the details on Tera's outfit, the fricking tenderness between them!? It's so so good I already can't wait for the next update! (Also rip Joris walking under the rain all by himself XD)

Cuteness is coming ! ^^ The boy is so cute with his ears! At least now we know one of Tera's soft spot! It's curious to see the 3 acting in ways opposite to their usual behavior in these pages: - Joris: from the start, we see that he wants to appear "strong" in Tera's eyes (by trying to be a gangster, by holding back from crying after being shot in the foot...) and now he's doing everything he can to take shelter under his jacket because he doesn't want to get wet in the rain, and he even tells him that he hates him. It's as if he's got a completely different personality 😁​. - The boy: on these pages we can see that he's receptive to what Tera has to say, he's blushing, smiling and even happy to spend more time with him. - Tera: here we see him more serious and frank with the boy, when the boy asks him if he likes his ears, he answers yes in a straightforward manner and when he asks him if he's not too heavy he answers no. Usually he would have teased him, even provoked him, but not here (maybe he wants to be nice to him as he knows it's his birthday). The scene with the jacket is cute, a simple but thoughtful gesture (and we all know the answer: yes, there was enough room for two under the jacket ^^). I noticed that the roles had been reversed : since the beginning it's Tera who protects the boy, but here it's the other way around. The boy protects him from the rain and from being seen by passers-by, acting as a sort of shield on his back. I liked the detail of the mask's eye when the boy makes a remark about the uber: you can see that it's puckered because Tera is laughing. It's a little detail that adds something extra, it helps bring the whole thing to life. I still wonder how he keeps track of the boy's whereabouts... given that he came without his motorbike, the art gallery must be close to his home or to Black Death's neighborhoods... Can't wait to find out ^^ Another point: The grandmother is so adorable for leaving the light on! The downside of showing such a kind and caring character is that when he dies, the impact is even greater... Anyway, I can't wait for the next few pages, I want to see an adorable and touching moment between Tera and the boy, and to see what surprise is in store for the boy's birthday ! 😍​😍​ And by the way, of course we want to see Tera back with his helmet 😉​ Thank you Pico for your work !

This is another one of my romantic notions I’m not sure will happen, but the Titanic reference has me revisiting it. I’ve often imagined the Boy doing Tera's portrait. Personally that scene from Titanic is what I find the most intimate.(I don’t imagine nudity here, in case anyone has that concern.) It takes me back to art classes when friends would be models and I’d be one for them. It felt we got to know one another better during those times than we did at any other. When you’re the model someone is watching you and attempting to capture who you are in their art. It’s something that feels revealing. Being observed so closely doesn’t occur in most of our day to day interactions. As the artist the other person knows you’re watching and is there observing you while you do something you love. There is a mutual attention given by both parties and it shows who someone is. Do they blush, are they the type to joke, or do they stay silent? If they laugh is it from nervousness or fun? Do they meet your eyes and is it a held gaze, or do they quickly look away? You’re feeling one another out more than talking, it’s a whole form of communication. I imagine both the Boy and Tera may blush and tease each other during such an encounter. It reminds me of how Tera stood up silently and then turned away from the Boy in mock offense during chapter 11. It’s playful but it also showed how much Tera trusted the Boy, he went to a wall and exposed his back, undefended. Doing that isn’t something I would see him doing with anyone else. When would he have ever had the inclination or the safety? The Boy in return teases Tera for the first time then, “not the bad guy sulking to get my attention.” Which is why it means so much to me that after Tera says his joke, “well, kinda got used to getting roasted by a shortcake” he makes a very personal admission, “I just wanted to spend some more time with you.” The Boy’s face softens at that, he uncrosses his arms and opens up. There are pauses along that conversation where they’re closely observing the other, I love those pauses. They’re feeling, not only speaking. Going back a bit further, this connects to them in chapter 10 while in the Boy’s room too. I’ve always loved watching the way Tera is able to go between humor and sincerity. He makes jokes but every time the Boy gets legitimately upset he stops. He's playful about the Boy’s sketches at first yet when he sees them he’s so impacted by it he has to sit down, and asks the Boy to explain. He holds silence during the Boy’s sharing and moves on when he feels the Boy shaking next to him with how the Boy is unable to talk. It makes Tera’s own personal disclosure at the end of the chapter all the more significant, Tera was giving a piece of himself in response. It was the same at the end of chapter 11, he again offered something to the Boy, in that instance a moment of company. Having the Boy and Tera share this, his art, is profound. The Boy uses it as form of expression and coping. It’s the same as sharing private journal entries, Tera gave them respect. I could see the Boy over time drawing his nightmares less and his present more. He'd be healing and his art would reflect that transformation, during Tera would be a vital presence. All that aside, I have a collection of details I found fascinating here in chapter 13. As the Boy and Tera are watching Joris leave they both pause before talking. After the Boy says he hopes Joris won’t get sick, Tera saying, “he’ll be fine” combined with the previous attacks and how he’s staring, feels hostile to me. As if Tera is debating going after Joris and making sure he certainly wouldn’t be fine. Not that Tera really wants to hurt Joris, but that he doesn’t know if he needs to. Tera is both giving Joris a break now and he’s going back on how he said he’d hurt Joris for being around the Boy in chapter 8. By letting Joris go he’s not following through, his past makes that something that would have been unacceptable. When Tera and the Boy turn back to each other there’s another pause before the Boy shows concern for him. Tera saying, “don’t worry” carries weight, he knows the Boy disregards himself for others and doesn’t want him to. The Boy is as likely to get sick as any of them, and he’s only worried over Joris and Tera. I felt Tera was elated to put his jacket on the Boy, I hear a smile through his voice in my mind when he says, “there you go.” He’s seen the Boy putting himself in danger repeatedly for other people and wants to take care of him. It brings to mind how many things I see happening here from chapter 8. There the Boy was also in danger while with Joris. From Joris directly, who was trying to abduct him, and from Muta’s gang. Tera was following the Boy because of that danger. Of course now Muta’s threat is dealt with, but Tera has just learned that the Boy is in danger from Black Death too. From Tera’s point of view for all he knew something terrible could have happened to the Boy. Which is why in chapter 8 he reacted from what I feel was both fear and anger, grabbing the Boy and trying to make him understand he’s not safe. Here he only asked what the Boy was doing and wanted to see him home. This also brings back chapter 9. There Tera had to be physically pulled back by the Boy to stop strangling Muta. Tera allowing the Boy to speaks volumes. That was a murderous rage and he was still able to be temporarily calmed enough to express care, holding the Boy’s wrist and saying, “I’m sorry you had to see that.” I get intensely emotional about that scene, I’ve cried over it. Which I’ve said before. To the point, here the development is that Tera only needed to hear the Boy say something and he stopped himself from escalating the violence. I see this as a progression in his ability to both calm himself, and his deepening sensitivity and care to the Boy. I feel that’s why while Joris is there Tera used sharp language, “I’ll take you home.” When they’re alone he uses a request, “shall we go?” That happened in chapters 8 and 9 as well. Tera tried ordering the Boy onto the bike while Joris was there, when he comes back later, Tera says, “please.” I feel that with the Boy Tera learned he can be gentle. From chapter 11, Tera saying, “you're a kind boy” has a double meaning. It’s Tera naming for himself why he was drawn the Boy in the first place, but it’s also Tera realizing what kindness is, he hadn’t known before. Which is why here he said, “thank you” to the Boy hiding him. Tera doesn’t want to be in these at risk situations, he grew up in them and didn’t know he could have anything else. His eyes going white to Joris and then to the stranger were from my view a reluctant way he was responding to threats. When they stop at the Boy’s door Tera leaning against the building shows a remarkable ease. As if he’s taking a moment to cherish being here with the Boy, and at the same time trying to collect himself before seeing him again upstairs. That he watches the Boy’s door, takes a breath, and starts climbing. This is another development from chapter 10, Tera left the Boy at home to go after Muta’s gang, here he stays. The Boy gazing back at him reflects that comfort they find together. It’s the same watching he did in chapter 11 after Tera said he wanted to spend time with him. The Boy once again observed Tera silently before choosing, and then says, “okay.” I love the way these pages have quiet moments for the two. They’re going to be flung into absolute chaos I imagine. For now though, they have a shelter in the storms. I am treasuring this. ~ Some spare notes. I keep looking over all the panels. The Boy staring up in silence when he’s moved to speechlessness by the gesture of the jacket being put on him is precious. It's a joy watching the Boy be playful throughout these pages. Him climbing onto Tera’s back in that panel has the caption, “determination” in my head. Tera is a tall guy, it’s not easy to do what the Boy did. Tera for his part seemed thrilled, as this was them working together. Tera is the foundation and the Boy is holding the shelter over them, both looking out for each other. Which brings up a thing I forgot to mention, I also thought of that art extra, “Trip to Disneyland” from November. The Boy is on Tera’s back in the same way. The flip of both of them waiting while the other’s arm is around them and the other saying, “there you go” is wonderful. It's another thing that conveys to me they’re equals, neither one is stuck in a role. They remind me of a quote from a book I adore, “The Hero with a Thousand Faces” by Joseph Campbell, “…love is a realization that beneath the illusion of two-ness dwells identity: “each is both.’” That’s a concept alluded to in Plato’s, “Symposium” it focused on sexual and philosophical love but I feel can be applied to romantic. I find it amusing that this connects to the term, “platonic love” also derived from Plato. Something that may be of interest is that platonic love was used as a periodic euphemism for homosexual love during times of the Renaissance to the end of 19th century. This was a reference to the slightly more accepting view of such romance seen in Plato and other Greek authors. I found that information in Encyclopaedia Britannica and was intrigued. There is also a difference between, “platonic love” and, “Platonic love” in the first meaning, “a close relationship between two persons in which sexual desire is nonexistent or has been suppressed or sublimated.” The capitalized letter in the second is to distinguish it as meaning, “love conceived by Plato as ascending from passion for the individual to contemplation of the universal and ideal.” As seen in Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary. The word “platonic” is different from “Platonic” for similar reasons. Words and terms are endlessly entertaining to me. ~ A brief personal note, I keep both private journals and sketchbooks for processing things like the Boy. Recently I’ve played with comics and it’s been so much fun, I hadn’t ever tried them. Z-Pico, your art inspired me to do that and I want to say thank you.

I took a small break reading for personal things and coming back to catch up? God this is so good it is and will always be my favorite graphic novel/comic/wevtoon. They absolute build all the characters have and seeing the friendship budding with tera and the boy. Oh my god and how you got such striking and obvious emotions drawn on tera with the mask?? I bow. The bits of comedic relief aren't overdone and just my heart becoming an actual puddle at the boy trying to help tera. I will never recover from this series and should a cute appear I will blatantly refuse it it is far too amazing

In my head Tera's voice is a bit deep but soft (especially when talking to the boy) so I think something similar to howl ( Cristian Bale) or Jiro ( joseph gordon levitt ), and i think that Tom Holland voice suits the boy, something more " brighter " and youthful since he's just turned 18. What are your thoughts about that?
