Okay, the part with Jin vs Yue was a bit confusinh at first. I am guessing when she returned to her past life's body she gave herself a split personality. I am curious about what happened to Kanata though, as it looks like she seemed happy that they didn't know about him in the future timeline, though considering how the alternate personality reacted that might be misleading.

OK, the first part is "I am confusion". What te hell happened there? What's up with Yue? How did she become so chummy with Kanata? That sequence feels like a fever dream.

So we have Yue the returner and Yue the split personality. That's a very confusing writing decision.

It's seems Jinyue (literally Jin and Yue) has a split personality that came out of trauma within the orphanage, and is the ruthless one, while Jin is the normal girl. Probably went off the deep end when Kanata died due to her not being there because she left him to chase adoration when she was selected and he wasn't.

No, Jinyue is not a returner. Yue aka the Prophetess is. However Jinyue has a split personality thing going on and the ruthless version goes by the name Yue also.

Yue the split personality is not a returnee. She's just scary smart Yandere for Kanata. The Jin personality is the one in control most of the time and she's happy go lucky enough to leave Kanata behind if he's not selected. I think in the future of returnee Yue, the Yue split personality of Jinyue is taking over because Kanata is dead (she's not by his side so his sickness got worse) and she blamed herself and the world for it.

Yeah, really cool to read these new plot points. I was honestly quite scared of how inactive Kanata will be, but it seems he will step up when necessary. Good stuff as always sej.

Okay this chapter sold me a lot more on this story than the the previous ones. Really wasn't feeling the lazy protag before this split Yue reveal. Still was pretty confused at Jinyue Yue and Returner Yue having the same name but that should be resolved in an edit pass.

It sounds like Kanata is going to be completely overpowered once they find a way to keep him alive. Not to mention Jinyue already known to become overpowered in the future. If Yue (the returner) can keep them on her side, that's one hell of an ace she's got.
