This should not be a terrible fate in mc mind and so wholly against it, if he think about it more, the problem is another thing than this surrender if it happen, is that he know that he can have better chance of survival (and 'control'/agency over it) vs what is to come that he know and have 'experience', that really why he wholly against it and guarded that it doesnt happen

If that blessing from unknown is the basic kind for her then the shape-shifting terminators will have gotten even more busted, especially if they have their own faction development tree for tech, magic, and their own unique city buildings for societal bonuses to get through because of unknown will be cool to see pan out.
