2025 End of the Year Report! (Patreon)

Hello everyone!

Another amazing year is almost come to a close! This year my PC worked all year long, I did not lose any files, and I have taken the story in the direction that I wanted more or less! So what can you expect in 2026? Next October we will celebrate 5 years after the initial release! I am proud of this game that I started as a learning experience and has evolved into one of the best communities I have ever had the pleasure of being apart. Thank you all!

My top priority in 2026 is to have more consistent and frequent updates for From the Eclipse and GotM. I would LOVE to say a new update every 2 weeks, but that is a promise that is biting off more than I can chew. Instead I would like to start with about a 4 week update cycle and see how it goes from there. If I do nothing else in 2026 but keep the updates more frequently, I will be happy.

Secondary, and a long shot, I want to start work on a new project. This has been something that I have wanted to do for a long while, but just have not had the time due to my life on this side of the screen not related to being a dev. If I can get my release schedule of FtE under control, then I can find the time to work on a second project, with longer times between updates (FtE is and will continue to be my priority).

As far as long term plans other than what I have already said I want to do, I would love to redo the Prologue and Chapter 1, and at some point after Chapter 3 concludes make the game one file complete for the Prologue and Chapters 1, 2, and 3, allowing me to start fresh for Chapter 4 and beyond. This means all new touched up and redone scenes for the Prologue and Chapter 1 so they get close to the updated quality of the images that I have been using over the last year or two. It will allow me to FULLY redo all of the early animations and pics, touch up lingering typos (leading to more typos, I know me, lol), remove all artifact code for features that are no longer in use (old navigation code, money, etc.), and maybe even add in a few new scenes that I wanted to do but did not due to not knowing what I was doing back then. Again, this is LONG term and most likely will take a couple of years to get done as I do it one piece at a time, and Chapter 3 would have to end first before even seeing the light of day.

So here is to another year! I am hard at work at getting v0.4.5 done and hope to release it toward the end of the month, hopefully around Christmas. There is still a lot of story that I want to tell and have no plans on stopping this amazing adventure anytime soon. You are all amazing and I appreciate all of you!
