Ubisoft legit used to be one of my favorite developers back in like 2010-2018. They used to make great games that were fun to play. Far Cry 3 is goated. Now they make their single player games into live service games. Something I don't hear mentioned often. The combat in Ubisoft used to be reaction-based, tactile combat design. It was impact driven. A headshot was a headshot. Now all their games are stat driven. Health bars above enemies, damage numbers, etc. I hate these kinds of games. They do this so they can monetize all their single player games like live service games. This is why they lost me as a player. This is also why Far Cry 6 sucks compared to Far 3, 4, 5.

Not to rant but I I didn’t particularly care for Colin’s subservient attitude here. The “keep your head down and do nothing” mindset is dangerous. especially when it’s driven solely by self preservation at any cost. Living in fear while being taken advantage of by a failing corporation which takes advanted of its workers is no way to live, or work. Ubisoft is a company that has been spiraling downward for a decade. Western Europes labors laws are far more robust compared to the US.
