God of War: Sons of Sparta Review Discussion and Spoilercast | Sacred Symbols+, Episode 503

It's me, Colin. Please welcome Summon Sign and Punching Up co-host Brad Ellis and PlayStation expert RealRadec back to Sacred+. Today, we convene to discuss the stealth-released God of War Metroidvania that dropped barely a week ago at the time of publish, Sons of Sparta. As the 10th overall God of War game and the very first externally-developed title since Ready at Dawn delivered Ghost of Sparta on PSP in 2010, Sons of Sparta was long-in-development, and we've known about it in some form since early last year, even if it continuously went unannounced. But upon its surprise launch during the most recent State of Play, we had Mega Cat Studios' 2.5D action romp dropped directly into our laps. Welp, the three of us have beaten it, and naturally, there's a lot to discuss. Did we like it? Perhaps we even loved it? Are people being too harsh on it, or just harsh enough? Let's get into it on the other side of the play button. Check out Radec's channel: @realradec
