Another bit of info I forgot to share that hopefully also adds some clarity, catching the Golden Snitch doesn’t automatically win the game — it just ends it and gives 150 points. Most of the time that’s enough to win, but if the other team is already ahead by more than 150, you can catch the Snitch and still lose. That’s actually what happens with Krum in the Quidditch World Cup — he catches it to end the match, even though his team still loses.
