I’ve been saying it for a long time, the world NEEDS more hardtail shredders! The Virtuoso HT is everything I want and nothing I don’t. Seymour Duncan pickups , alder body, roasted maple neck with streaky ebony board, extremely thin and comfy neck, locking tuners, Luminlays, and made in the USA… I’m in heaven. The new Jackson American Series has REALLY blown me away!

Tone is the Virtuoso HT straight into the Bogner Uber Ultra. Absolutely insane amp, full video on that thing coming soon!

Scott

OutSTANDing. The stairmaster really did that Jackson right.

Ernie Atella

Sounds really hot! Enjoy!

Andy Funnell

Sounds fab but no Floyd Rose? 🤔 was that rockin’ track in drop D as it sounds chunkily rifftastic?

Shahar Bar

Imagine, tuning to drop D without having to reset the whole fucking guitar...

Troy DeJongh

What a beaut! Ben, what's your stance on stainless steel frets vs. not? (Assuming this guitar has nickel frets.) Much of factor in your enjoyment of a guitar?

Michael Nicolay

Musician's Friend has the trem versions on sale right now FYI...

Michael Nicolay

Also if you do get one, check the headstocks carefully, I had to send two of em back

Keith Fine

Making me wanna buy a new guitar

Tor

Sounds so so good. Didn't you recently get the American Soloist HT as well? Aside from different pickups, is neck-thru vs bolt-on the main difference? How do they compare to you? And is the Soloist worth the extra $500-ish?

Darren Bruestle

Thanks for finally giving us the knees lesson! 😏 Is this guit a rival to your Suhr modern satin? 🤔

Johan Alexandersson

I am a 100% hardtail supporter, but it does look like you are reaching for the trem around 0:20 ;)

Jason

What are the frets made from? The website doesn’t specify which makes me think they might be nickel and not stainless.

Jason

You can get the virtuosos with the Floyd online on the Jackson website https://www.jacksonguitars.com/en-US/guitars/american-series/american-series-virtuoso/2802401868.html

Tim Reese

Probably nickel. If it were Stainless Steel they for sure would have boasted about it.

Tom Miller

Daaaang, as one who graduated high school in 1985, that sound is the shizzzat, brother!! Almost makes me want a new guitar 🤔 …k, almost isn’t even close…

Jake Raymor

How does it compare to a Jackson Dinky JS22 XD

Alexander Ehlert

nice Jackson, just got a Charvel ProMod DK24 walnut, with two señor duncan humbuckers, locking tuners, fixed bridge. Kind of the same thing.

Gregg B.

So you pretty much have all of the USA Jackson's I think? Which one is your fav?

Geoff

Great stuff Uncle Ben as usual. Suggestion for future lesson- could you please teach the solo you played here- from about 20sec into the video? It sounded awesome.

Paul Wilde

Looks gorgeous Ben. Any chance of teaching us what you were playing?? That solo was sick

Michael Nicolay

Yeah the first was a shell pink and the tip was bashed into splintering layers... it was bad... the second was a satin black and the tip of the binding was chipped... the third was also satin black... I almost sent it back as well... the headstock was perfect but the strings weren't aligned properly against the fretboard... I called my luthier and luckily he was able to walk me through the steps to fix it... turned out the string alignment was no big deal, so I kept the third

BenEllerGuitars

I would have stainless on every guitar if I could! It’s just better. But I play lightly with the left hand, so I’m not too hard on frets and don’t wear them down badly at all.

Nice little jam you put together here. Just for this demo or something for the future?

Jost

First, I’d like to mention how great your lessons are, and like undoubtedly a thousand others, I’m very grateful to you for your dedication. I imagine you’ve been asked this question many times before: What string gauge do you typically use?

Matt Nelson

I have a virtuoso w/ the floyd. Just ordered the soloist HT. What makes you like the Virtuoso HT over the soloist? I was hoping the neck through would have a better feel. I have too many bolt on Jacksons. All my 90's Japanese Jacksons are bolt-on also.
