These are fun. My only suggestion is one you addressed in this video already: play more slowlier - let the notes breathe. Moo

Nice work, uncle Ben Any chance we could get some of those 32nd note run ideas tabbed out?

Brian

So good!

I love Jeff Beck too. Do you know any of his tricks? That would be a fun vid!

I love this! It might sound cliche’ but, I found working out and playing how to sound as much like the vocals from a song seems to help open new ideas for improvisation. The human voice has so many nuances that we tend not to notice them until we try and play that melody on guitar. Pick a simple song that everyone knows like a R&B hit single your step Dad would listen to.

Kenny Roscoe

Is that last 32 note run an ode to your legato lesson?

Kai Ski

Best one so far in my opinion and great tone as well! 👏 This series inspired me to improvise over random backing tracks as well and it‘s a hell lot of fun, although I‘m lightyears behind your skill level…but hey - we‘re all here for keeping that motivation and learn a thing or two, right?

Tasty improve today, nice tone. I don't think of "guitar masters " as a thing, it's more like speaking, or singing, there are talented players out there that don't appeal to me and there are others who are lessor known who blow me away! Jeff Beck will always be the most amazing in my opinion. Thank you for another great video

Love this one and your feel moving around a melody.

I agree that it's not all about speed. Although I'm working on that! I just recommended the song Nutshell from Jar of Flies as a candidate for a Why you should Learn series for this reason. There's a couple of fast runs, but it's more accentual and the phrasing really plays to the song rather than the ego. Thanks Ben.
