The way the defense attorney roasted one of the witnesses (the former colleague) during his closing arguments jolted me but I'd be lying if I said it didn't make me laugh. Absolutely wild. He may as well have said "CUCKOO, CUCKOO" and called her a batty old hag. I haven't watched a ton of courtroom footage and I know their job is to discredit the prosecution's witnesses but bringing her glasses and hat into it was wild lol

Man, I think this is really a miscarriage of justice. I share the opinion that it mostly likely WAS Nichole, and the investigation should have been more thorough to create an airtight case against her. Also the defense lawyer pisses me off lol but I know that isn't supposed to impact my judgement. ETA: that was an incredibly touching tribute at the end, Dave. I appreciate your care for the victims in these cases as always.

This was a difficult one, I can't imagine being on the jury! Although I feel like there was a decent chance she was guilty, I do believe there was reasonable doubt. I had so many questions about the investigation throughout this.

The jury got it right, there is a ton of reasonable doubt here. l'm not convinced Nicole DIDN'T do it... but there isn't enough to be sure she did it by a longshot.

As a person who loves aquariums, the idea of my housemate shutting off my filter is infuriating. Most fish will die in a matter of hours without the filter creating aeration for them.

On balance, I think the jury made the right call based on reasonable doubt but I think she did it. Knowledge of the crime scene clinched it for me. The defence attorney, ugh, painfully cringe to watch but if I needed one, I’d grit my teeth and choose him! Imagine Anita’s family having to witness that disgraceful outburst at the end, shame on them, it wasn’t a football match ffs! Excellent video, so great to see you back doing this, I’ll look forward to the next one. Thank you

This was probably the best defensive closing arguments I’ve seen in a while. There are loose ends in this case and it is disappointing the prosecution didn’t tie those up more solidly. I can imagine it was challenging being on this jury. I agree they made the right decision based on evidentiary issues that gave way to reasonable doubt but I still feel she’s the best suspect, especially with the aunt’s testimony under subpoena.

Great video as always Mr. Lemonade! I agree the evidence against her wasn’t solid enough to convict her of anything. But I fully believe she did it or at least had help in doing it. I think the state should have leaned more into the aunts testimony considering she would have 0 reason to lie about it. I would’ve loved to see Nicole cross examined lol
