New Year's Update - Polls and Animations (Patreon)

Hey all!

I hope you all had a great new year! With 2024 in the rear-view, I'm taking a look back over the past year and looking at ways that I can improve, and there's a few things that I think I'd like to try out.

Over the past year I've put out a lot of pin-ups and short sequences, and while I do enjoy making the monthly pin-up content, there hasn't been the same focus on animations that I had when I started this weird hobby. I began creating content because I was interested in learning animation, but given the few animations that I've put out this past year, trying to balance the workload between everything has gotten a bit out of hand. When I took that break in September, part of the break was to take a step back from the monthly pin-ups that I had been making for the past 2+ years and give myself some time to just make things. That break was when I started animating the NTN cycle as a spur of the moment kind of project, and I miss that spark.

Going into 2025, I want to get back into making content that I'm more invested in. While I do enjoy making the monthly pin-up content, lately I've been spending more time working on the monthly pin-up than I have on actual animations, and I think I'm just burnt out. I'd gotten comfortable putting out a monthly pin-up and leaving it at that, and it had gotten to the point where this hobby was feeling more like a job than a creative outlet.

Because of this, I'm going to be holding off on creating the monthly pin-up polls for a little while. I know that a lot of people have been enjoying the monthly spin, and it's always fun to see what gets suggested and what gets voted, but I think I need to take a step back and get back to making content that I'm excited about. I'm hoping that taking a break from the monthly polls will help get me back into the animation mindset and give me time to make some pin-ups and sequences that I haven't had the time to make. I'm definitely planning on returning to monthly pin-ups, but I'd like to give something new a shot.

Thank you all for the support you've given me this past year. Between the pin-up polls and the comments, it's awesome to see people still enjoying the content I've been making, and I'm hoping to make a lot more in 2025!
