Love that final scene, love that Emily got to be *good* (I was worried for a minute ^^;), love the Kimmy halfway house and the chance of taking that further. The only thing missing is some sort of "Weekend at Bernie's" humiliation conga with Patrick's corpse over the end credits.

"Yakety Sax" with a coda of "Shave and a Haircut" with the kettle drum at the end, joined by a chorus of fish burps. Maybe a flush sound effect, but that's probably over the top.

This has been a wild ride of a story, and I’m glad to have kept reading after the brushes with identity death. A tale of building oneself anew when you’ve lost who & what you thought you were. This was a beautiful ending, and about the happiest it could be considering the intervening lows.

Since you posted the complete ebook, I just started over at the beginning and finally finished it today. Bittersweet, in that I love where it ends but am still sad that there isn't more, but that's appropriate to how the story makes me feel

I finished reading the book. I really liked it, it's thought-provoking. I confess that I would like Patrick to have a little more suffering, something like experiencing his own spell. But the ending ended up being happy. I'm starting to read again, haha.
