This took a bit! Sorry about that; it was raining in our flat. And if you recognise the early bits, remember that I released the first few scenes a while ago.

54 pages.. looks like I'll sleep tomorrow... hahaha ❣️❣️❣️

wannabee

Oh wow 54 chapters and on my wedding day too, I hope this doesn’t devastate me emotionally~

Cheetah-Deviant

I am totally normal about this.

Ophelia Magos

I agree. Men ARE stupid.

Emory Ahlberg

Damn, what a surprise, another fantastic chapter, Alyson!

Lily Valentine

For such a dumb boy, Raph is turning into an awfully smart girl. I look forward to seeing her sexy librarian era.

Wonderful chapter. And it’s a small thing, but I loved the juxtaposition of “constructed” and “constricted”. 😀 “Because he can only become a new person when the framework of lies on which his old self was constructed, and by which it was constricted, is properly examined, understood and discarded.”

I am genuinely excited to see that smol voice Bethany has start to grow louder and more assertive. It was interesting to contrast the way Bethany feels a lot like Christine _still_ feels about herself and her past actions. (And I'm re-reading chapter 18 now - the chapter where Christine accidentally tips off Lorna that maybe Vicki isn't as cis as she claims...)

Another poignant look into the lives of our girls from Aunt Bea and Val, all the way down to Raph and the rest of the current cohort. I especially like the fact that the end of this chapter brings us back to the end of the last chapter. Here is hoping the Hall gets to take a skip on anyone looking too close to it. These women need the hall as much as the hall needs these women. Thank you again for all the philosophy in here too. The conversation in the basement was very thought provoking.

One of the darker ones with the girls dealing with a lot of grief. Especially, I think, Valerie and Frankie. Valerie because she was never able to save any of her girls. Frankie because she's a repentant monster who has no way of expeiating her guilt. I won't be surprised if she eventually does take the long walk into the lake.

Hello Alyson, how are you? I bought the book "The sister of Dorley - Welcome to Dorley Hall" in Kindle format. It had up to chapter 15 and here on Patreon the continuations start at chapter 21, where can I find chapters 16 to 20?

alysongreaves

Book two will be realised next year — but! all current chapters can be found on scribblehub and archive of our own. Search the username "Alyson Greaves" on either site and you'll find them.

Bethany’s monologue on performativity of identity fucking hit me. Again, I’m not sure it’s that exact way for me, too, but there’s definitely something I’m performing. The femininity part, maybe. Crazy, all these things I don’t really think about XD And I like to think I’m more perceptive than the average lol And yeah, I absolutely adore Raph, I’m so looking forward to the Raphiana arc hehe. I’m definitely curious about how you’re gonna resolve the tension with the murder case because both obvious options (the police somehow busting Dorley Hall and the police just not finding anything) seem a little out of place with the rest of the story. But what do I know, I’m sure you’ll I’ll love it either way XD I’ve found a few things while reading this chapter, I’m not 100% sure about all of these (and I think there were a few more that I was just not certain enough about) so make of it what you will :) 12: has it been taken from him, deliberately, by Edy and by the hall 30: most of the girls at Dorley settle into a sisterly relationship with their sponsors 50: And the way, oh yeah → Is that supposed to be ‘by the way’? Haven’t seen this before but that might just be my ESL status speaking :) 53: But for right now (?)

Thank you so much for this! The first one is supposed to be that way, but I agree that it’s not clear, so I’ve made an edit. Second one, great catch! Third is deliberate and fourth is a colloquialism. I’m uploading the changes to the first two right now, thank you again! This will save time when I have to edit book four...
