What if you took the basic premise of Fifty Shades but made it forced fem?

(Okay, I am prepared to admit that the story has slipped far from Fifty Shades at this point, but honestly, I couldn’t make it through the movie or the book, so it’s just vibes, really.)

Here’s chapter eleven of my collaboration with the incredible Emory Ahlberg! Check out her Patreon for more art and stories, including Jack & Jill, the story which played a huge part in inspiring Dorley — she really is very talented :)

Ways to read:

PDF — This is the full chapter, text and images.

EPUB — This is the full chapter, text and images. You can upload this to your Kindle, read it on your phone, etc. Remember, on Kindle, if you press and hold on the image, you can view it fullscreen!

RAR — This is the full chapter, text and images. Unzip this to a folder on your computer and load the HTML file. It’ll be like reading on AO3.

You can also view all the images above.

If you need to catch up on The Catch (lol; lmao), you can click into The Catch in the Collections tab. You can read chapters 1-7 as one file, listed (somewhat confusingly) on the page for Chapter 8.

"We met as Ascot." Not sure if this is a typo, or some Britishism I don't understand, but I suspect the former.

And, as in earlier chapters, nicely enhanced (literally in this case) by Emory.

Well worth the wait! Thank you. As for not reading/watching 50 Shades of Sexual Harassment, I'm totally with you. I got a sample on my Kindle when it first blew up (I was working in a bookshop at the time and it was ridiculous) and I couldn't even get through the first page.

To be fair, I didn't get that much further with Twiglet. I think it was the reveal of whatsisface as a sparkly vampire when it just became too much for me.

Ellen Mellor

Absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. They're like the Boy Wizard Who Shall Not Be Named before JKKK revealed her true form. They got people reading. The problems only start when they are the only things people read - I mean, with the Wizard School books, there's so much to explore even in just that genre - the Earthsea books, Diana Wynne Jones's Chrestomanci series, The Worst Witch. Admittedly, I'm drawing a bit of a blank when it comes 'vampire romance' that doesn't suck the blood of the Twilight books. I mean, Dracula and Carnilla (not that I've read Carnilla) and Anne Rice's oeuvre. You could widen it a bit and have Salem's Lot but I really can't think of any decent modern vampire novels. (I guess I could mention my novel, Ghostkin, which has vamps in it which are pretty central to the plot but not the main focus. I mean, I'm really just mentioning it as blatant marketing. But if I don't, who will?)

Sorry, that was a bit of an essay. I get very passionate about books and reading, as you might be able to tell.

Oh this is good, very very good. That ending and cliffhanger makes me want to read the next chapter now, but I know I have to wait till probably the end of Nov. Emory's illustrations are amazing as well. Loved this chapter!

Just finished... 🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️

HOT, but "so they can kiss probably" took me right into something quantum, but then I think "properly"?

Zenmadster

And now I've got thoughts on a Schrodinger's kiss that shouldn't make it into the outside world, but it's too late now. Apologies.

Samantha Louise

So nervous about the parental units.

In a somewhat less silly mood, I realized I forgot a couple things. There's a "sarky" that I'm not sure if it needs an N or if that's a Britishism I don't know, and an "e.g." that seems to be missing the example is referring to.

Aside from the obligatory grammatical Whac-A-Mole, I want to make sure you know I'm here because I like it. My favorite bits were Antonia voicing those little missives without sending them. And the Terminator/hasta la vista as a specific part of bringing Michael out of his shell. I'm not *that* robotic, but I can relate.
