Update: progress on the new chapter of When You Fell from Heaven (Patreon)

I’m 3am posting here, but I have an excuse—more dental stuff today. The local anaesthetic always screws with me. My sleep is way outta whack.

If you follow me on BlueSky, you’ve probably seen that I don’t expect to have this new chapter finished before the end of the month. This is me confirming that, yes, it will be late. This is also me apologizing. It’s quite a challenging chapter to write, and an important one, so I’m trying to do it justice.

In the meantime, I do have something incredibly dumb and brainwormy that I’ve been writing to blow off steam after working on WYFfH some nights. It’s really rough and it totally lacks literary merit, but I might quickly clean it up and post it here. It’s the start of probably the trashiest thing I’ve ever written.

As for WYFfH chapter 26, I’d say I’m probably halfway done? Maybe a little less? I’ve never really known how many words the early part of the chapter was going to take, so I’ve been kind of winging it. And I think I’m in a position to go faster for the rest of the chapter now, all the way to the end, so I don’t expect the second half to take anything like as long as the first half has.
