So chapter 26 was going to be the final chapter of book two. But my plan for it was a little too long for it to be a normal-length chapter. I thought, fine, okay, it’ll just be long. And then I started working on it, and it turned out that it was going to be way too long, so I figured out a good place to split the plan, and now, chapter 27 will be the final chapter of book two! Hurrah!

Holy smokes, what a chapter! Alyson, I'm so in awe of your writing. Started following you recently after being dazzled by The Catch on Emory's site, and just fell in love with Maxine and Taylor and all of it. Finally caught up and sad I now have to wait for the next chapter! The confrontation with the parents felt so vivid. Rooting for dad and hoping mom will eventually come around to a redemptive place.
