UPDATED FILES: Man-Machine Interface (Patreon)

I had to visit family recently, and when I did, I got COVID. I also, however, bought my wife a Bulbasaur (pictured).

While I’ve been sick—and I am, unfortunately, still sick; last night was especially unpleasant—I’ve been making myself useful. To that end, I have worked on the first eleven chapters of Man-Machine Interface. I was never terribly happy with them; I was really out of it when I wrote some of this stuff, and it showed. Some of it has been tweaked, other bits quite heavily rewritten.

So here’s a new set of combined files for the story so far! The EPUB might be a little jank in places, since it’s a quick-and-dirty Calibre conversion of the DOCX file I’ve been doing the edits in, but it renders fine for me in Play Books. Let me know if it’s screwy in other readers and I’ll fix.

I’m going back to the editing mines now for the book release of All the Way—though as soon as I stop coughing and wheezing (and other Pokémon) I’ll be getting back to the Dorley chapter.

Edit: Apparently some fairly vital italics were not processed properly for whatever reason, so I re-ran the export and I’ve updated the files.
