Will do! (I note the awkward Windows pathname on page 13 is well-behaved in this layout.)

Eeeee!!!! Getting closer and closer to having this on my shelf. Truly what can’t cheerleaders do?

The Broken-Melody

I cant wait to own this when it is up for sale. you have created a wonderfully realistic world, that doesn’t shy away from the darkness that we truly face. i hope to keep reading of Maxine’s continuing evolution, into the wonderful young woman she is destined to be. Thank you for the best book i have read in 2025, and thats no small thing i read over 300 books this year, from big names to self published works and this one was my favorite.

I’ve really come to love this cover, it reminds me of the “everything else is confetti” line from The Haunting of Hill House. It’s like, all of the problems that the characters face are all just detritus that can be blown away through the act of loving and caring for each other.

Edit note: page 28, Taylor got to show to her off Second “to” reads as extraneous Personal note: I have too many things to do already and sucked myself into a reread 😂

Joy the Inscrutable

"same but for the year" in the fake ID scene is a potential Britishism, we'd say "except for" instead.

I've been sourcing opinions on this from The Council of Americans (americans I know personally) and I think I might leave it in

Kiwa Tyleri

"At least Taylor’s meeting with Coach tomorrow, about how they’re going to replace Maxine in the squad—they already know from tryouts that there are no other girls who can come even close to filling her shoes—isn’t going to be overshadowed by Maxine’s untimely death at the hands of every guy who ever looked at her ass." -- I'm confused by the part after the 2nd dash: what isn't going to be overshadowed? This could be an error due to deleted/missing words, or maybe I'm reading it wrong...

The meeting isn't going to be overshadowed, is the intended reading. I might change "Taylor's" to "the" to avoid the other reading.

Pg 346, 'and she can probably be excused that.' Missing a 'for', I think. Loving it otherwise
