Finally! Sorry for the delay on this.

I’ve included all three chapters in these files since I did a little light editing on the way, but nothing substantial changed in chapters 1 and 2.

Holy crap! This shouldn't come as a surprise by this point, but I'm genuinely blown away. Yes, again! Alyson, the way you're showcasing Carl's journey is so, so touching - and scary! That New Year's Eve party scene... you can feel his internal tug-of-war. It brought up a lot of emotions for me. And I love the dynamic between Carl and Pam. Just incredibly well captured. You've got a such a talent for portraying real, dangerous, devastating emotions...even when they're lurking just under the surface. I'm totally engrossed in Carl's story. It all felt so real and deeply moving. Can't wait to see where the next chapters take us!!! 💖

This is absolutely incredible, Alyson. Just phenomenal writing. The depth and complexity of the characters you convey is exceptional and I'm basically speechless. I've started trying to write something intelligent about how this touched deep in my soul and spoke to me on so many levels, and failed enough times that I'm just going to leave this as it is, and just be in absolute awe, again.

Every Movement is so beautiful, I relate a lot to Carl's "how does a man do x" talk, it took me a while to figure out who I was after I came out and this is probably the best way I've seen that situation described, can't wait for the next chapter!

OMFG this chapter is so insanely good... Faith says "Fuck Pam" and I say "Fuck Faith" as a retort... it is obvious AF that what Pam, Kim and Lisa did wasn't an intentional humiliation right? THEY DIDN'T KNOW... FAITH WAS SUSPECTING... IDK about you guys but I think Pam deserves an apology from Faith... and.............. IKNEW she will do it..... I KNEW !!!! still cried as a little baby reading last line but IKNEW ❣️❣️❣️ Aly I love this story...

For all Pam might have triggered the crisis, damn does she know how to do solidarity and support. I understand why Faith hadn’t broached the topic prior (can you imagine if C hadn’t hatched yet?), but it still took this situation for her to finally bring C something to start transition. The way you write C trying to navigate the world as what’s ‘expected’, reminds me of both gender issues, and trying to appear neurotypical. “Everyone else got the script and I have to keep guessing.” That line is just so spot on.

Wow, what an incredible story. I had a similar "forced drag" experience in US 10th grade. I didn't end up buzzing my head, but I DID need to hack off most of my shoulder length hair because they damaged it with a flat iron. Unfortunately it wasn't as much a catalyst for change as it was putting industrial strength duct tape over the cracked egg. Set me back a number of years. Then again, I didn't have someone like Faith to shove hormones at me.
