I know that this chapter is really nice, and the comparison was almost beautiful (if that’s the right word idk) but I still kinda sorta want Henry to end up in some long forgotten gate builder site and experience some immortality treatment or something like that to extend his life. Get a real happily ever after instead of a bittersweet “life is short” thing.

I agree, wholeheartedly. The author did mention that there could be an eventual tech upgrade we can choose for them that was the crisper Gene editing so maybe they figure out what makes elves last so long and splice it.
