Best character in all of Bleach Asano just went through the same deal as characters like tatsuki who gained spiritual awareness just from being around Ichigo and the squad's spiritual powers. I don't remember if he ever showed signs before this but it's the same deal.

When you saw Soifon, it was just an omake/random stuff that's happening in soul society that's unrelated to the story. They've been playing the omakes after the previews for the next episode since the soul society arc and It's actually about to change starting with episode 125 where they explain arrancar stuff after previews for upcoming episode so you might want to watch those if you wanna learn more about the arrancars. Aso 128-138 are filler episodes but if you want to see Hanataro's zanpakuto and it's powers, it's in episode 134. If not, I can just tell you what it does.

I love how one of the best fights of the entire show is between Ikkaku and a random espada. By the way, that’s Espada number 13, not 3. “Trece” is pronounced like “Tress-eh” while three, “tres” is pronounced how it’s spelt.
