I have so much feedback about this movie....and I feel like this is only a 7 or 8 out of 10....after 1 watch Mind you. Will be changing that with this 1st full watch along. But...It was way too self-indulging for its own good, which caused the Story to really bloat and just keep adding Plot Points instead of Following ones they already established. It was like watching my own ADHD played out on-screen to be honest. We would get context and be ready to move on...but then we get pulled in a different direction because of another Idea that we had that sounds cool...They really DRAGGGGGED too much of this out with Context Context Context...they were literally Showing and Explaining at the same time lol. The first 20 minutes are honestly a Gwen Short-Film all on their own. I wish that the 45-55 minutes of focus on Gwen were the Core of her Own Movie...maybe then we could have seen some more natural character growth from the Protagonist and the Main Antagonist....Miles & Miguel. I can not stand when a story writes Characters to be shown as Smart and Calculating and Driven...and then have them act like they have never been involved in an Emergency. Both Miles and Miguel....smh. The rest of the Cast is Wonderful, it Looks Gorgeous and Better than even Arcane (itself setting the Standard for Animation that is Art imo), the Music is Great, and Gwen's Story is an easy 9.......but Miles and Miguel realllllllllly drag it down when the Movie was Finally Getting Good...right after Spot escapes and Miguel and Miles meet....then the story goes from being unfocused to straight up no longer about what the 1st 90 minutes were about...and the chase sequence...while again Gorgeous to look at with plenty of Easter Eggs................Consider How Dumb that Made an Organized Army of Spider-People look.........................to say nothing of Miles understanding how to use the Weaver Tech based off just a few minutes (they plant the seed he is that intelligent but only for this moment considering how little he seems to think most of his decisions through). and yet...Spider-Punk...Comic Ben....Gwen....The Spot....the Animation...the Music....the Easter Eggs....still make this Story that might make more sense with Beyond in 2025 a 7.5 in my head prior to watching again.
