hello everyone, I'm working on improving stability, uncached full files will take a while to load and imports are a bit backlogged both due to bandwidth. Thank you.

Seems incredibly foolish to go to a place where your magic doesn't work..... and not know that until now. nobody thought to warn harry? to teach him spells he COULD defend himself with at depths? because sure as hell there MUST be some types that work. unless the author just chose to make it so magic literally just fizzles out at depths... for soooomeee reason. "oh yah. harry my good chap..... most surface magic doesn't work down here. but Shields should be fine!" but nah. EVEN THE SHIELDING AND WARNING CHARM HARRY MADE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO WARN OR SHIELD HIM.... did the author forget about it?

Drinor

You are right. That was kind of stupid of me. I reread the chapter and realized that Harry, who created a Talisman and fought Professor Quirrell with the little Voldemort on his head, would not be useless like that. He still struggles in this chapter because, at the end of the day, he is underwater fighting creatures that have lived there their whole lives, but he manages to use his creation and creativity to kill many of them.

Read the updated version first, and you did an excellent job. Thrilling and thoroughly enjoyable climax to the arc, and oh boy does the king owe him and Newt. Great work!

Is crystal-harmony part of the harem?

Drinor

I’m glad you liked it. The King will reward Harry for what he did.

Detecting leviathan class lifeform, are you certain whatever you're doing is worth it?

I really loved this fic. Still do. And I like the voice magic idea. But really? Singing underwater while fighting? You do realize people need to breathe to be able to produce sounds. And I am not talking anout

Drinor

Harry and Newt are using an advanced Bubble-Head charm that allows them to breathe underwater and not get crushed by the water pressure.

Sry, my comment got sent early. I am not talking about this being underwater or bubblehead charms. I am talking about physical exertion. There is a reason opera singers have to stand still while doing incredible notes. Have you ever tried playing tennis or football and singing? And Harry is 11/12 years old, while simultaneously swimming, singing, casting spells and in some moments talking to the princess all the while maintaining resonance. Unless I missed it, Harry is still swimming through the water. Not running and ducking behind cover. The reason you can wave away unbelieveable stuff in HP stories is because its magic. But this is pure body/physical ability. Even other wizards like Voldemort are limited in how fast can they cast spells by how fast and how often can they speak the words (Voldy never casts AK silently). That is why in the later movies everybody suddenly started silent casting patronuses and other shit cuz the actors could not scream all the time. Not to mention they still swing their arms while doing it. Don't take it the wrong way, you write combat well. Always did. But this time you are trying to make it look like a dangerous fight while its also having an underwater duet. Imagine Arielle singing "Under the sea" but also fighting Ursula. Also to add to another persons comment. There are literally spells made for underwater (the whole point of magic working fully underwater can be argued). In Goblet of Fire Harry fights a swarm of grindylows using I believe normal spells. Even if they are not normal spells, they were then taught by Lupin in third year. And sure you can argue that Harry did not learn them yet. But, Dumbles literally fully manipulated pure water in his fight vs Voldy. The guy was going full Water-bender on snakeface. So the idea that magic just fizzles out kinda doesn't hold "water" huehue. Again, I read all of your stories and you are a great writer. But this arc is going into full stretching the imagination territory without any actual connections to the HP universe except for the characters. If you switch Harry and Newt with Percy Jackson or Jon Snow it would make no difference. Not even the magic has any connections to HP. Harry could in the same way be, as if you put the Dragonborn (Skyrim) underwater and it would make no difference for us (well except that he would oneshot everything). I am still looking forward to reading the rest of the posted chapters. But this was a bit rough.
