You had Daphne say that their next class was Charma with Ravenclaws, then went to Potions and then went to Charms with Gryffindor. Loved the chapter and love this story so far

It'll be interesting to see how Harry gets one up on Snape. He has literally zero leverage other than going to the professors. I'm honestly surprised you made Snape publicly single Harry out, as it's a pretty stupid thing to do when. Harry himself is a Slytherin. It makes it extremely obvious that he's singling Harry out, specifically, for no actual reason, rather than him being biased against Gryffindors. Harry is basically even more powerless against Snape than he was in canon, as anything Harry does, will reflect badly on Slytherin as a whole, which is where he sleeps.

Great chapter, this story is one of the better Harry Potter ones I actually read quickly as soon as it drops. I like Harry with a backbone and drawing lines in the sand.

I must say I thought the scenes between Goyle and harry Quite interesting, I do not think I have every seen a fic that has him have any kind of evolution or be anything other than a brick. Also I was quite pleased to see Flint actually put his foot down on that pointless squabble, usually Slytherin is just written as harry and his friends are fine but everyone else is an ass

So we're gonna have bitter Snape in this fic, I wonder how you're gonna proceed forward concerning him. Also like someone said, Harry can't even complain about Snape's conduct since it would affect Slytherin as a whole due to showing disunity.

Great chapter for sure but I was kinda disappointed that Harry didn’t use Parseltongue on the snake wrapped around the 4th years neck that would have been cool.

Snape made it obvious that he hates Harry in the books as well; it is not like he was trying to hide it. But in this story, he is making it a little more obvious, and Snape has a big hate boner not to try and bully Harry, even if Harry is a Slytherin; if anything, Harry being in Slytherin and having dark-red hair like his mother might make Snape even more angry with him. As for how Harry will deal with Snape, remember that Harry is cunning in this story; he will find a way to either get Snape on his side or, if that doesn't work, make Snape regret his life's decisions more than he already does.

When it comes to Flint, he puts his foot down because it's his job, and Harry is in his First Year, so he thought that was petty as hell and because he was feeling very insulted that these four years were going about this the wrong way. They are supposed to be cunning and whatnot, yet the four years were being anything but cunning. In this story, I will try to develop side characters a little more. I'm not saying they will have big arcs, but they won't be just background statues.

Wasnt harrys father james the one known for his transfiguration skills while his mother was skilled at charms,potions,runes and enchanting im asking because when mconagal asks him to stay behind to talk she says it was lily that was exceptional in transfiguration

I really hope that you don't have kill the basilisk because when you think about it isn't she technically his basilisk now because he technically killed good old Tom then by right of conquest he is now the hier of slytherin. And my second question is are we going with the thinking that harry was born a parselmouth because he is related to the blacks through his grandmother. And if so makes more sense then him getting it from the scar because you know born a parselmouth is GENETIC and not spiritual.

Loved the chapter! Harry kinda befriending Crabbe and Goyle is a very nice idea! I just know that the guy with the snake is going to regret that when Harry discovers he’s a Parseltongue

I think someone mentioned it in a previous comment, but I feel the need to point it out. MCG claims canonically that James is the Transfig specialist and Lily is known for Charms and even Potions I think. I could see MCG offering to talk about both his parents and not just his mother like you made it seem. Otherwise I'm really enjoying the story! Keep it up.

Brilliant development. In canon Sorting Hat said that Harry would do great in Slytherin. It is great to see how. Goyle as ally, brilliant.
