Wing customization (Patreon)

People often ask about wing customization in the dragon creator, which I'll talk about this week. The wings are made as a swappable body section, so you can choose the overall look by clicking on them and selecting a wing from a menu. This will decide the shape, number of fingers, claws, etc. The wing size will likely be an option as well in this version of the creator, but later on it may depend on for example age and skill point investments (like if there is a skill tree for flying, certain skills may affect the size and in turn the flight characteristics).

I also looked into having the attachment length adjustable similar to the body/neck/tail lengths, but since long wings also depend on the body and tail lengths it was a combinatorial nightmare making sure every length fit with every other length. So instead, the attachment length is just a fixed feature for a given wing, with some being longer and some shorter. In the first version there won't be a lot of wing options since we have only done two wing models so far, the standard short attachment one and a version with longer attachment. Some have also asked if there will be a special quad winged variant in the future, which is technically possible in the system but not a priority right now. It may appear at some point though!
