This will be the last post of 2025, so let's talk about the plan for the upcoming year!
As mentioned in a previous post, the goal is to release a standalone version of the dragon creator early next year, preliminary date January 31st. Once it is out, I'll pivot back to working on the movement and physics to get the full ground-takeoff-flying-landing movement implemented for custom dragons. The new release will probably boost the Patreon quite a bit as well, so I'll be looking to hire new people too. We will then combine the dragon creator, movement, mounting/dismounting (with custom armor for the human that will be shown soon) and ideally the new terrain system into another major release, hopefully not too long after.
The battle system will also be ready to test at some point, but an issue right now is that the person who was working on it has been absent for a long time. I could keep working on it myself if I didn't already have my plate full, so hopefully I'll manage to find someone else to do it sooner rather than later. Once it is ready, the first test version will most likely be a pre deployed battle setup with two armies and some anti dragon weaponry that you can approach to initiate the battle and then just wreak havoc, with more strategic gameplay options coming later.
Eventually everything will be combined into one large build along with destructible settlements. The goal is to have a version like this available next year too, after which we can start working more on gameplay features and activities. Exactly when it is ready is hard to say because things never go as smoothly as planned, but this is basically what we'll be working towards.
