This is the work in progress of my original character, Miko. I have no experience creating original designs before, so I'm sorry if she doesn't look that original. The final result might look a bit different though.

Also, may I remind you again to vote,  when I wrote this, only still less than 50% of you patrons already voted, it looks like there's some close race there. :D

As somebody with a bunch of characters, yeah it's really tough to design one, especially if they're not part of any project (thus not having any framework to go off of). And yeah you did decent here. she's cute with a side of sexy. the leg shape and hidden hands are big charm points. good work.

Nice collection of designs! I guess you took some inspiration from Hades :D. I'm using a lot of references too when designing this so I don't get too overwhelmed. Thank you for sharing!

The prelim designs are from many years back so hades wasn't a thing. But the very thing you mention here is an important aspect of character design. People will always make connections between your character and stuff they know. Sometimes it's something really isolated and sometimes they're right on the nose. Never be afraid of that. Just search up what they're talking about to see if it's a problem and, really, it pretty much never is. And whatever's not a problem becomes a story that enhances the depth of your character, a chance to reveal the thought process behind the design and what influences were there. It's very goods for games or comics because you can have a section discussing this stuff and it's fun to the fans. But other purposes from characters can benefit from it too because, well, everyone loves to know what creators were thinking. And I hope someday we can hear the tale of Miko's creation.

I see, sorry for assuming your work process. So far I only focus on character design without thinking any story, so feel free to create a story about her :D
