This is honestly a good look into Valroks head since until now we have just seen how bad his leading skills are (since his sister has to tell him how to inspire his clan line by line) . And now we saw how competent hunter and tracker he is. I liked it, even though the guy is a bastard

Eh, having Lily be captured would be a bit too cliche, I think. More likely I think that Valrok will catch up right after they get into the city. That way they’ll see him, have a good bit of angst that they *can’t* fight him right now and it’ll also ensure that the fox has to stay with them since Valrok will hunt her if she leaves the city again.
