This was so much fun to listen to! It’s like listening to little mini AMAs. Personally I would recommend Delicious in Dungeon. It’s a fantasy anime/manga about a group of adventurers who are trying to save one of the characters’ siblings while eating monsters. So it’s half a fantasy cooking show and half an action show. Very fun and funny throughout! I loved Frieren, another fantasy anime about a century-old elf who learns to slow down and live life/experience humanity. Slice-of-life vibes but also fantastic action. Sakamoto Days is a quirky action anime about the world’s greatest assassin—think John Wick running his own convenience store with his wife and daughter. I prefer the manga over the anime, but season two has been better. Music is a bop. Vinland Saga is a beautiful historical anime that’s all about a Viking boy learning the value of pacifism over fighting. Starts action-based and settles into a very smart philosophical story about finding your value in the world. I tend to read manga before I watch just to see if something captures my attention, and then I’ll fully dive into a show! One Piece so One Piece, actually, fucks, and this is coming from someone who barely watched it as a kid and watched, like, a couple episodes on Toonami back in the day, but I prefer reading it over watching it. I’m about 700 chapters in, and yes, it’s that good. The characters, emotional moments, and flashbacks are just fantastic! I also collect manga. I highly recommend the Jojo hardcovers; they are amazing in person. They just started publishing Steel Ball Run physically. They are some of the sexiest books in my collection. Also give yourself a pat on the back; it was amazing hearing you keep your voice in that tone the entire audio! You’re a āļø!
