CANDYMAN!

This was my first introduction to the late, great Tony Todd, and what an introduction!!

This film will forever be a firm favourite of mine. For months after watching it, I would constantly be quoting HELEN HEEELLLEEENN! 🤣 This truly is a masterpiece in horror storytelling. The story is based on a book by Clive Barker, called The Forbidden, which is found in his Books of Blood. The film adaptation was, however, written and directed by Bernard Rose, but Clive also collaborated on this.

The sequel, Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh, was also a great movie. While not as strong as its original, I like the fact that we had a glimpse of Candyman's backstory and why he is the way he is.

To this day, I will not say Candyman in the mirror 3 time..... NEVER!!
