I'm normally first and foremost about the catgirl. But pre-kittyhulking: I've been on a stint of Twin Peaks into X-files, recently, and seeing this glimpse of modern(ish) Americana, the clunky shaped and reliably built Ford, the wild desert that is neither on fire nor with a giant pipeline running through it, the idea of a secretive government agency that isn't just a money laundering scheme, I find myself really charmed by this set up, and all the little details in it. I'm gonna be hootin' and hollering like an imbecile once the paws come out, but until that happens, it's a totally different and still totally enjoyable flavor.

It sounds like that might lead to some sort of unregulated feedback loop depending on the emotion and the kind of physical effects they converted to. I hope neither finds themselves… in the mood. That would be horrible…

Powered by thoughts and emotions™... I do hope these toughs are made of the pleasant ones, or we get the 40k warp travel with no Gellar field scenario. I add that an Eldrich twist would be a surprise, but not necessarily an unwelcome one.
