“Warning Big Veg is not responsible for any Macroness, hyper-ness, muscle growth or breast growth…unless you’re a diary cow in which case give us a call for a job”

Silvador

Those are cute country bunnies. I hope they're related. >.>

Amethystine

A very charming beginning. :>

Sean

if he got bought out, then he sold out, and likely got paid well for the land. Farmer just shifting blame.

Vices

So Farmer Murt is angry at Mega-Veg because they offered him so much money for his field he couldn't refuse? ;)

Goblinounours

I reckon dem two bunnies are gonna go on an investigation!

Piltheser

Shake harder, boy!

Chumlee99

Not necessarily, many farmers get driven out due to they can’t afford the taxes that keep shooting up because developers and big businesses gobble up all the surrounding lands driving up value and tax rates. In addition to things like water rights and their neighbors complaining about living in Farm country because they’re city folks who hate living next to cows and horses and more. Seen it happen in real time where my parents live.

James Dougell

I see Sinclaire Global’s messy, finely pedicured footprints all over this here operation!!

Jrt47b

Is Mega-Veg by any chance a subsidiary of Sinclare Industries?

Chumlee99

Max: *facepalms* you ate experimental broccoli knowing it was probably going to cause growth? Chloe: *looming over at nearly 300 feet tall, green, and beyond voluptuous* I was hungry and you forgot to bring food. Did the broccoli make my ass too big?

ennbee

plot twist: Farmer Murt is the subject of this comic's BE

Savage Shark

How dare Farmer Murt shake that fist at them.

James Jakes

I already love where this is going

Katfeathers

Add another sad point: at least in the States, the population is enough that traditional farming can't feed everyone anymore. It has to be done industrially, and even then much gets waisted instead of going to a food bank or the like.

Dustin Kimball

Oooh this is gonna be good!!!

Kouri

I seen enough Jolly Jack to know where this is going. And I likes it.

LandingZone

Everything is bigger in Texas

He was bought out, implying he sold, so it seems like he wouldn't have much reason to fist shake? Edit - I see that someone else brought up the same thing previously, which I missed. My apologies.

CrowMagnon

It's often not that simple. There are lots of ways that massive companies can put pressure on small businesses to sell out, even if they don't want to.

minigendo

Forced out seems like a more natural short hand for that phenomenon than bought out. Or forced to sell, etc.
