trevor and sypha make me insane

I don't think this is ever actually confirmed, but there's a popular theory that the cloak Trevor started wearing this season is actually Dracula's cape since it looks the same and is oversized and tattered. Everytime I see Trevor with it I'm reminded of how badass he is. Same thing goes for Sypha's scar on her shoulder. It's like the animators wanted to have clear visual reminders of their epic battle with Dracula. I'm glad you're enjoying season 3 so far. This season is definitely more focused on character development and acts as a buildup to the final season. I think my favorite part of that is seeing how Trevor and Sypha are changing each other for the better. Trevor is actually smiling and laughing and not hungover all the time and Sypha is even more confident and passionate than when we first met her because she probably feels safe and supported. They're honestly one of my favorite couples in anime.
