these weren’t “mid” a lot of times K-pop idols that are in big groups like this, from big companies and or have a big following, don’t read thirst tweets, so they were trying to keep it slow in the beginning and then ease into the more “intense” ones, if you had just waited a little while longer, “these are mid”, like a 3 year old, you’d realize it 😭

Pledis and Hybe screened these tweets before they were read by the members. Because these aren't even close to the spicy tweets written about members on the daily. These were so g-rated mild vanilla ass tweets. But at least the members made it fun! Good lord you should read the thirst tweets about S.Coups! Aye ya yai!

Oh my GOD! As soon as I saw that Seventeen read Thirst Tweets, I thought Ben needs to see this and react to it haha These tweets are tame but the fact that Seungkwan & Mingyu were swearing is the real standout followed by their savagery towards each other haha

these were relatively mild but definitely not for kpop level.. like lmfao so many k-carats were shocked seeing them in this show and talking about sex and all😭 not having coups was a good idea I guess.. coups stans are the most wild and thirstiest ones ( it’s me yeah I can confirm😭🤦🏼‍♀️)

I think Seventeen is the first idol group to do Thirst Tweets (there is a korean band who has done it and I think theirs were tame too but I don't remember), usually it's individuals/ people from groups doing it by themselves. I think if you were gonna have Seventeen ease into Thirst Tweets, it would be these guys. Vernon is the english speaker but he's also pretty unmoved by stuff like this The 8 is king of anti delulu interactions Mingyu would try to speak and respond as confidently as possible Seungkwan is witty & would take the lead but he also would get scandalized or shocked which would make it funny

Another thing I like about this video is how they tease each other. They elevate the tame tweets by the way they react to it. Like there was no need for Seungkwan to have Mingyu translate "sex is good but..." haha But yay, fans got to hear it more than once haha

these are indeed mid but hats off to seventeen, still, for agreeing to do this considering their level of popularity with korea's general public right now (which means they're always under scrutiny). this is already bold when you think about korean standards. even buzzfeed themselves said all other kpop idols rejected this content and went for puppy interviews instead lol

It's kinda crazy to think these are bold when folks know tweets can be WAY more unhinged haha But as you said for a Korean kpop group from a big company, just saying the words sex, ass, and fuck are a big deal (which is why Mingyu & Vernon had to reassure Seungkwan that it's not weird or bad)
