I've never commented on the show before, but I feel I must now. Ditch this show! It's edgelord, 4chan, early 2000s "this ain't you're grandpa's anime" trash! There's nothing redeemable about this show. Don't fall for sunk cost fallacy. Choose to watch something better instead.

I think "A Little Life" is a good parallel, as the author explicitly said she didn't do any research, and she loves to write about gay men suffering for some weird reason. It's also just way too long! They both seem to go into excruciating detail just because the artist wanted to and not to serve the narrative or themes of their respective stories I think they're both kind of irredeemable, but that's just me.
