I feel like someone might’ve said this already, but this gave me 90’s MTV Liquid Television vibes.

This show has some of the most off-putting eyes I've seen in anime. As far as the story goes, so far the show seems more interested in letting us know that it has big thoughts than in actually letting us know exactly what those thoughts are. I'm hoping it won't just boil down to late 90's/early 2000's mediocre stuff where the big question was just "Hey man, what if... INTERNET?"

This episode comes in so hot and completely unhinged. A+ work.

11 minutes in. Somehow still talking about transtemporal autofellatio. No notes.

What’s with the dub hate on Freiren? It’s a fantastic dub. Just let people enjoy things the way they want.

A bit of Apple-adjacent history that went unmentioned in the episode. The red-blue coloring of "Be" in "To Be Continued" is a reference to Be, Inc, founded by another former Apple exec, Jean-Louis Gassée. When Apple had canceled Copland and were considering buying NeXT to get both their tech and Steve Jobs back, they were also considering buying Be for similar reasons. BeOS has a modern continuation (Haiku OS) and loyal fans who still think it was the superior option.

2 episodes in and I have absolutely no idea what’s going on. Looking forward to the GA recap for some hope of working it out. 🤷‍♂️

Ok but like, what if this “shot” that Heather talked about (which kinda sounded The Substance-y) also resets something in your brain that mice cannot explain or convey? Like all your cells reset to younger you, but you also lose the ability to read? It’s not only wiped from your memory, but the ability to learn to read is gone too? What if it goes to human trials and the recipients are just so ecstatic that their body is going again they don’t even mention it? Like it’s so gone from their brain that they can’t even say it’s gone, and, when presented with having to read something in the testing afterward are just like “who cares?! I’m younger!” And then the drug company misses it and starts shipping it out? Or like, I dunno, something other than reading which is even harder to test for, like you have a hunger that can only be satisfied by eating a baby and that when the mice did it they scientists were like “sometimes a mouse eats a baby” 🤷🏻

Now I remember! The “shot” Heather was describing sounds like “the shot” in the novel Titanium Noir

I am definitely a bit behind the podcast's current release schedule... but man, listening to them talk about death early in the episode makes me think I might just skip this collection of episodes and move onto the last three of get anime'd and going to how did this get played again.
