June 2023 Battle Plan (Patreon)

TL;DR: Been busy, commissions are caught up, more content soon.

So many new faces lately! I'm glad that you all decided to support me! I wanted to start doing little monthly "battle plans" outlining upcoming work and giving a little insight on where I'm at in life for increased transparency on my work and what you're paying for.

Commission Stuff: Sorry the posts have been a little slow, I've been grind the past couple weeks to crack out my outstanding commissions (mainly animations) from last month and I'm finally caught up again! I want to get my commissions open again, but I'm realizing I need to do a bit more R&D until I'm ready to publicly open again. I'll probably pick up a couple in the background from regulars to help pay bills. I haven't really been posting commissions lately since it can be hard to plan around payment stuff, remember to grab proper snapshots like WIPs, etc. and I feel like they aren't exactly the main draw for most people but if that's something you want to see more of in the future, let me know.

Upcoming Posts: Current plan is to work on a next Purah animation for either the 16th or 23rd depending on how much progress I make, you'll probably start seeing more on that in the next couple days. Expect the usual Monday doodles. I'll probably do some more illustration content soon too for whatever weeks aren't the Purah animation and I'll see about doing alts for some of those too. Been itching for more Beatrix content since her design update and possibly some cute lesbian content with Gretchen and Indie for pride month. Who knows maybe I'll even take some of the extra suggestions from the MoEx thread and do those.

Art stuff: I've been practicing my value painting and rendering techniques as demonstrated in the Zoey Pride post and I've really been enjoying the process and the results too! However, like learning any new skill, its eating all my tiiiiiimmmmeeeee. Been trying to grab timelapses when I can too and have been tossing them up in the discord for $10+ tier patrons. I really wish Patreon had better video hosting. Been feeling good about wrapping up so many long standing projects and I really want to return to PYP2 but its sooooo much work. The little Purah animation has given me a taste for larger projects and I want to start planning out something with actual plot, but I gotta learn more about preproduction, pipelining, and storyboarding before I get too deep into that.

Personal Stuff: My sleep schedule is in some desperate need of maintenance again (currently writing this at 4am) so expect really bizarre post times as I rotate my schedule forward in the upcoming week. DRG season 4 is dropping next week soooooooo I don't know how my time is gonna look after that XD I've been seriously neglecting the "play" part of my life while cracking out commissions so it'll be nice to take a little time to have some fun.
