hello everyone, I'm working on improving stability, uncached full files will take a while to load and imports are a bit backlogged both due to bandwidth. Thank you.

I was planning on starting the new release schedule this week, rested and refreshed after a half working holiday. That... isn't what is actually happened. TL/DR: Weeaboo will resume in September.

Very, very briefly? My dog got cancer, my daughter is starting summer vacation, my wife is full-time on her own work, my 98-year old grandma is also sick, got to get some window frames repaired, may need to replace some of the shingles on the roof (which, since I am in a historical district will require permission from the Historical District Planning Board), my new neighbors think they are lawyers every time they think there is a problem, which is often, I have been asked to review and update the language in all our Condo Association bylaws which are currently spread out over nine seperate documents, and I need to get this book edited and published, not to mention all my other projects.

My dog's doing as well as can be expected. He's getting the best possible treatment and he may have as long as two more years. Or as short as a couple of months. We hope for the former. He isn't in pain.

However, a crowded mind does not produce the best material, nor is it quick.

So, I do plan on posting the first three chapters of Vol. 2 by the end of the week. I'm already most of the way there, so I want to get it out to you guys. But after that, I'm setting it aside for most of the summer. My plan is to slowly write chapters for it when I can, so that when September rolls around, I have a healthy backlog and you guys get an actually good book.

I realize that this is not what I promised two weeks ago, so if you are a Hygenic Otaku member and want a refund for the last month, please let me know by DM and I will process that for you. I certainly understand canceling your membership for the summer. Frankly, I reccomend it. I just ask that you keep the free membership to the Patreon so that you will be notified when the new book comes out.

Slumrat is continuing as usual. If nothing else, it gives structure to my day and makes me feel like I am being a productive human being.

I really appreciate all the support you guys give me. It makes all this possible, and has been some of the most fun I have ever had.

Thank you for your understanding,

Warby

Oof. My sympathies and best wishes for everything you're dealing with right now. Take care of yourself, and give us the good stuff when your brain can cough it up without forcing anything.

As someone who is in a fairly similar boat, you have my complete sympathies. Fingers crossed for your dog and family. I'd rather read a well thought out Weeb book 2, than have a bunch of mid-tier filler for a book before it gets interesting again. Do what you gotta do, plans change and you're clearly not leaving anyone out to dry. Thanks for your ethical authorship. Keep up the good work, and we'll see the Weeb come out of his tower when he's ready.

:( Hope your dog gets better. Cancer is the worst of the worst.

Like others I had a pet die of cancer. To me though the sad part was not them dying. but unnatural it was when they died. It seemed to me like the process only thought of the struggles of the owner. Not the sadness that the pet would be living their last moment not knowing it would end. By the way cremation for pets from what I looked up at the time is horribly regulated. If you are concerned over what happens with the pet after I recommend watching out.

Me too! Have zero regrets tho, was totally worth reading the ending early :) Take care of yourself, warby! Speaking as someone who has been too overwhelmed for weeks to so much as assemble a lawnmower (my grass is getting thigh high at this point), I understand that life can get crazy.

Take your time, Warby. The quality is always more important than the quantity. Hope everything works out for you this summer 😀
